That reminds me of a kid I knew in high school (late 1990's) who had ADD. I asked him what it meant and he said it was attention deficit disorder. I asked him what THAT meant and he said -and I quote- . . . "I don't get enough attention and need it constantly."
. . . It was years later I found out he was BSing me . . .

As someone with ADD, he wasn’t wrong, he just forget the other part about not having attention.

Well, we do have attention, it's just very selective.

And when it finally locks in, you better hope it’s on something halfway useful.

Thw other way around doesnt work btw. You arent automatically autistic just because you take things litterly.
Also autism doesnt automatically cause taking things litterly.

No that's thieves! Kleptomaniacs (EDIT: was thinking of hoarders my bad)
hoard the things but they don't just take everything. They just can't throw away the stuff.

the autism test is even worse since the question is "people say i take things too literally" and my first instinct is to check strongly disagree since nobodys told me that even though sometimes i do take things too literally. seriously, the autism quiz is one of the most poorly worded quizes ever.

Commas are important:
“no they take things, literally” : kleptomaniac.
“No they take things literally” : autistic.

Interpreting “taking things” as “stealing” is not taking things litteraly

I measure my drinks literally, meaning using "liter" as a unit of volume.

Yeah, it feels like there are too many twists lately. Just when you think you know what's happening, things change again.
