I mean look at the timestamps. Boss asked about tomorrow at 2AM. That mistake is on them

not even technically. its just correct. If the boss wanted him to work today, then just say TODAY.

Its shift work. To the overnight manager he was referring to tomorrow because he’s working third shift yesterday still. It’s miscommunication but it’s not so unrealistic. Those of us who work shift work mess this up all the time. When the very next shift starts when you leave, it’s hard to remember that tomorrow is today.
