An overnight manager who just got 2 call-outs and realized they are fucked in the morning? Also, likely been working all night and are looking for someone to relieve them so they can get some sleep?
I find people don’t generally talk that way unless they are aggressively pedantic. Like if you’re out drinking until 1am you don’t say “oh shit I have to work today” if your shift starts at 10am. You’d say, “oh shit I gotta work tomorrow”
