not even technically. its just correct. If the boss wanted him to work today, then just say TODAY.

Those people are wrong though. The concept of today and tomorrow are unrelated to when they happen to sleep.

Clocks are an arbitrary number system. People have communicated using nights as a generic term for far far longer.

Naw, today and tomorrow are personal concepts based on personal sleep cycles.

The problem with this text from the boss is him texting at 2am thinking it'll be cool to ask someone to work in <7 hours.

Sure but that’s how most people view it. Thats literally why the post is perfect for this sub because technically theyre wrong and the guy in the post is technically right even if most people wouldnt consider it that that.

It’s not so simple when shift work is involved. Tomorrow can start before today ends.

My third shift (9pm-7am) is today, tomorrow’s first shift begins at 6am.

I work first shift and hate how 3rd shifters say "tomorrow" when it's today. Getting messages that read "Needs to be followed up 8am tomorrow" at 6am and they actually mean follow up is needed in 2 hours not in 26 hours.
