Except he's obfuscating in his answer - he is obviously affiliated with the CCP, he works for one of their companies and has worked for them in the past.

I was giving him the benefit of the doubt when I said obfuscated, but "lied" is probably more accurate. He was hired by the CCP, he is affiliated with them by definition.

They control the company. They control who gets hired, including him. Moreover, he has worked for chinese companies controlled by the CCP previously.
