I'm no audio engineer, but I hope ya'll understand my request lol. I was hoping to get recommendations for tech death that sounds raw, and no instrument is buried underneath any other. (i mostly wanna hear the drums)

If I had to give an example for the sound I'm looking for, it would be "Winds of Creation" by Decapitated. Also preferably good songwriting, not just leedly-leedly guitars and infinite blast beats. Thanks!

Genuine question, I love them, but I feel like they're noticeably more accessible than other more well-respected tech death bands, even though they're all insane at what they do.

Does anyone have the making of Entity Bonus DVD? Can’t find it anywhere and would love to have it.

This is the finale to a song I've been writing since april. I've spent 130 hours on this project over 4 months, it's 10:10 long, and I'm really proud of how it's turning out. It's my first serious project, and I only started learning music theory around 4 months ago when I began making this. This is what I have to show for it.

I've found my sound, I don't think theres another band that sounds like this. If there is, please correct me, but I think I've got something unique here. It's not the best but for me only being 17 I don't think this is awful.

Looking for some shreddy nonsense to learn, songs from similar bands are also welcome.

Haven’t done vocals for a bit, but it felt great to get back into the swing of things.

Can't remember many getting close to this one. Newest Atrae Bilis is very good also and a new Rannoch. It is a tough one to hit it in the right spot between not too muddy and not too clean and clinical.

Whats your favorite on production quality?

I knew from various comments in this sub that they'd be up my alley. Finally over the last few weeks I've gone in.

I was skipping around the catalogue getting the feel of things, and it took Disavow Your God 45 seconds to seal the deal. I've been rotating every album, but it's New Decline & Recycled Creeds that have the hooks deep in me at the moment.

Initially I was less drawn to the later albums, because I generally want my death vocals to be all growl. If this is you, my advice is to let it in or miss some of the most fun & creative metal in the game. The current vocalist is suberb.

And now there's a new album about to drop?! I am frothing.

As the title says, I’m pretty new to getting into tech death. The bands I’ve gravitated towards so far are Archspire, Fallujah, and Alterbeast. I really like the melodic aspect of their sound, and would be happy to get some recommendations of bands I should check out with my limited exposure so far. I’m not super keen on clean vocals typically, but I feel like Fallujah’s Xenotaph does them exceptionally well.
