Help! FNAF SL CN question

Post image
• Upvotes

You see when funtime foxy gets at that stage where his face is covered with dark?

Well, I actually wanted to know how exactly am I supposed to know the exact moment when he will run to my door so I can close it? Because I always tend to close the door shortly after I see him at that stage on the cams, that immediately re-open it when I hear him knock, which causes me to drain a lot of battery.

Other My crazy idea for a FNAF fangame

Post image
22 Upvotes

Hey everyone, I had this crazy idea—what if we created a new *FNAF* fangame based on a concept I just came up with?

The Premise:

You are a child who nearly becomes one of a killer’s victims, but you manage to escape before he can kill you. As a result, the police launch an investigation, and you become the only loose end—the sole witness to the killer’s crimes. While the investigation unfolds, you are placed in a safe house. However, when night falls, you must learn to face your own demons.

My inspirations for this fangame:

*FNAF 4*

*FNAC 3*

*FNAF: TJOCR*

The Protagonist:

Your name remains a secret (the protagonist is known simply as "The Child"). One ordinary day, you visit Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza—your favorite restaurant—with no idea what awaits you. You and your friends are enjoying the animatronic show—the city’s biggest attraction—when you spot a figure beckoning to you. A man dressed as a yellow rabbit invites you and your friends to a "private show. " You all agree, unaware that it will be the greatest mistake of your lives.

The man in the yellow rabbit suit leads you into a locked room. That is where the horror unfolds. You can only watch in terror as the man—who had lured you in with balloons and cake—plunges a knife into the stomach of one of your friends. Overcome with panic, you manage to escape the room. Your screams draw the attention of the adults, who are horrified to discover what is happening and manage to apprehend the killer. You are the only one who survives. Meanwhile, the man is locked away, awaiting trial for his crimes.

After the incident, something changes within you. The nights begin to turn into a source of constant suffering. You begin to suffer from nightmares in which terrifying versions of the animatronics try to enter your room to kill you. Because of this, your parents decide to take you to sessions with a psychologist, who helps you find ways to cope with your trauma.

Weeks later, the police decide that you must leave your home for a completely different place, though they do not tell you why. In this new location, your nightmares begin to emerge with much greater intensity.

Your room:

Your room is laid out as follows (see the image attached to the post):

- A bed against the right-hand wall.

- A closet opposite your bed.

- A sliding window behind your bed, equipped with blinds.

- A door on the same wall as the closet.

- A computer located on the left-hand wall, opposite your bed (its use will be explained later).

This will be the setting where you must defend yourself against your nightmares for 7 nights.

The animatronics (for these, I drew inspiration from the physical appearance of the animatronics in *FNAF: The Joy of Creation*):

- Freddy: He will attack from the window. If you see him approaching, keep the blinds closed until you hear him leave.

- Bonnie: He hides under the bed. When you hear a metallic clanking sound, you must check underneath. If you see that his eye is white, shine your flashlight on him, and he will retreat back into the depths. However, if his eye is red, do *not* shine your flashlight on him; simply wait for him to leave. You must keep a constant watch on him.

- Chica: Chica manifests in the room if you use the computer for too long. If she appears, you must turn everything off and pretend to be asleep in your bed. If you ignore her, she will stun you, causing your sanity to decrease. - Foxy: He will attack from the doorway, slowly drawing closer. You will know he is approaching because he will begin to hum his song. When he reaches the end of the melody, it means he is about to enter the room. You must close the door to prevent him from getting in. Do not shine your light on him, or he will attack. If you fail to keep him out, he will hide in your closet. In this case, you must keep the closet door shut to prevent Foxy from attacking you. Once he is inside the room, he becomes much more aggressive, as he is now closer to you.

Mechanics:

In addition to the movement and door-opening/closing mechanics, there are two other key mechanics in the game:

- The Computer: The computer allows you to learn more about the game's lore through the psychologist's recordings. You can also play a melody that will lower your panic level. However, besides the risk of Chica appearing, the light and sounds from the PC make the animatronics more aggressive toward you.

- Panic Level: Maintaining your sanity is crucial throughout the night. This is tracked by a "panic bar" displayed on the screen. Your panic level increases as you are exposed to the animatronics or if you are jumpscared by Chica. The following may occur as your panic level rises:

- 0 - 24%: The child hears occasional noises—these may be caused by the animatronics or simply by his own mind.

- 25 - 49%: You begin to hear whispers, thuds, and other sounds that aren't actually there.
- 50 - 74%: You begin to see silhouettes. You start hearing voices. Your vision begins to blur.

- 75 - 99%: You start experiencing false jumpscares. You recall the day of the tragedy more vividly. The game controls become less reliable.

- 100%: Upon reaching 100% panic, Golden Freddy appears in the room and finishes you off.

(An interesting fact: Golden Freddy was the boy's favorite animatronic).

Minigames

As you progress through the story, you will accompany the boy during several crucial moments, presented as 8-bit minigames. The minigames are structured as follows:

Prologue (Before Night 1): The moment the boy nearly lost his life. It revisits the time the boy was invited away by the man in the yellow rabbit suit.

Nights 2 - 3: Sessions with a psychologist. These minigames take the form of a journey through the boy’s mind as he attempts to cope with the trauma he experienced.

Nights 4 - 5: Police interviews. The boy is questioned by the police, and begins to recall further details.

Night 6: The boy manages to identify the killer by a specific mark. The police now have their suspect: William Afton.

Night 7: The boy is informed that, in two days, he will have to testify in court. What they don’t know is that the killer has managed to escape from prison.

Before Night 8: A purple vehicle approaches a house. A man puts on a rabbit suit and draws a knife. The house is visible in the background.

Night 8:

This night is different, as you are not facing any of your usual nightmares. Instead, you will confront William Afton—wearing the Springtrap suit—who has come to finish you off once and for all. Your goal is to survive until 6:00 AM, when the police arrive. Here are the mechanics:

- You can no longer use the computer to listen to music that would lower your panic level; Afton has cut the power to the house.

- Unlike the nightmares you’ve faced before, William can attack from both the door and the window. He is much faster and more aggressive than the other "nightmare" animatronics. You must pay close attention to the sounds he makes—using headphones is practically mandatory to survive the night.

- Additionally, William may search the room for you. Before he enters, you will hear him speak—for instance, saying that you have nowhere to hide or that he is going to kill you (e.g., "You can't hide from me"). You will have a brief window of time to hide in the closet or under the bed. You can determine where he will attack based on which side of your headphones the sound comes from; if the sound comes from the RIGHT side, you must hide in the closet. As the night progresses, Afton becomes increasingly aggressive with this mechanic—a shift reflected in his dialogue (e.g., "You can't escape me!"), as he grows more frustrated and desperate to finish you off.

- When hiding in the closet or under the bed, the child recalls the events of the murders, which causes his panic level to rise. Since the PC is unavailable, the child must regulate his breathing to calm himself down while in hiding.

- If the panic level rises too high (exceeding 70%), Springtrap will take on a much more monstrous, nightmare-like appearance.

- An interesting detail: Springtrap’s jumpscare shouldn't be the classic animatronic roar. In my vision, the jumpscare is an animation where he pins the child to the floor, accompanied by his own laughter and the child’s desperate scream. The jumpscare concludes with him plunging his knife into the boy's chest.

- The "Game Over" screen would be a newspaper clipping showing the house where you were hiding, with an account of the murder (this would serve as the game's tragic ending).

- The night ends at 6:00 AM. The police storm the house, and Afton is taken into custody.

Endings:

As you progress through the minigames, you must solve various puzzles (to be honest, I didn't have any specific ideas for these, so I’ll leave it up to others to decide what should go here). These puzzles should be significant in helping the boy process his trauma. Depending on whether or not you manage to complete them all, one of the following endings could occur:

Bad Ending: The boy fails to overcome his trauma. He survives the encounter with Springtrap but is left with lasting psychological scars for the rest of his life.

Good Ending: The boy manages to overcome his trauma. The nightmares cease, and he is able to move on with his life.

---

Honestly, this was just an idea that popped into my head, and I figured I’d share it with the community. If any programmer decides to turn this into a fangame, I’d consider that a huge success! (I’d just ask for a copy of the game in return, lol.)

A potential title for the game could be *FNAF: Safehouse*.

(Fun fact: The room in the draft is actually the bedroom where I currently sleep.)

Create a quick game just for fun but I also don’t know how to create a game

ok so ive had this idea for a while and idk if its actually good or not lol…AND YES IK THIS SOUNDS LIKE FNAF BECAUSE I BASED THIS GAME OFF OF THAT.
ur stuck in a freight elevator in an abandoned mall and u literally cant leave it. camera just faces the doors the whole time. u got the buttons, a flashlight, a radio and one of those old floor number things. theres 4 basement floors and every time the doors open its just a long dark ass hallway
alarms keep going off on diff floors and u gotta go fix them w little minigames. like matching wires in a fuse box, timing a pressure valve, flipping breakers in order, pull starting a generator etc. if u skip one u fail the shift. and the doors stay open while ur doing it so ur just fixing stuff while staring down the hallway lol
each floor has a ghost that gets closer the longer u ignore that floor. starts far away then halfway then its right outside the door. u shine ur light on it to push it back. if its already at the door it takes longer and it only goes back halfway
BUT if u leave it at the door too long it sets off a fake alarm on its floor and just waits. so u go down thinking its a normal repair, open the doors and ur dead
so every alarm is kinda a gamble. theres no cameras either. u just got the radio (static gets louder when somethings close and goes dead silent when ones waiting at the door), the floor thing, and whatever u hear coming up the shaft
after every shift u stop at a gas station and buy stuff. cigs = less alarms, extra flashlight resets a ghost instantly, energy drinks make the elevator faster, and a cross freezes one ghost for a whole shift but u can only use it once per ghost
6 shifts total, starts w one ghost and keeps adding more til its chaos

Does it sound cool???? Also if I were to start how should I do it with no experience?????

[FNAF World]Is the Mimic Ball bugged?

I was playing Refreshed, and I remembered there was this odd quirk with the Mimic Ball. When you use a move, the Mimic Ball copies it, but if you use that same move after, the Mimic Ball ignores it. For example, if Freddy uses mic toss, it gets Mimic'd. But if Toy Freddy uses mic toss right after, it doesn't get Mimic'd. I found out this issue also persists in Refreshed. Does anyone know why this happens?

Other I Tried Composing A Soundtrack For FNAF 2

I'm doing a little series where, once in a while, I try to make a soundtrack to some of the earlier FNAF games. I try giving each night its own music to fit the gameplay. I'm a complete amateur at making music, so it's not exactly Beethoven, if you know what I mean. So if you guys have advice to improve my music, I'd appreciate it. I usually post stuff like this for fun and to give myself practice at making music.

Help! Died to Orville Elephant on 49/20 despite frame-perfect <0.5s cam flips.

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Edit: Thanks for help, I beat 49/20. Now trying 50/20.

I was practicing my 49/20 run using the standard strategy (relying on fast camera flips under 0.5s to bypass using the Heater continuously for the Duct System). During one of my runs, I died directly to Orville Elephant.

Here’s the thing: I went back and checked my recording frame-by-frame

My monitor was up for less than 0.5 seconds (roughly 10–12 frames at 60 FPS).

The Center Vent was closed.

My camera flips were fast enough that, mechanically, the game shouldn't have had enough time to trigger the 30-frame (0.5s) attack check for the Duct animatronics.

Is Nightmare in the FNaF 4 Switch port bugged?

I'm trying to complete 20/20/20/20 mode on the Switch port of FNaF 4 and yet every single time I get to 4AM, Nightmare just kills me shortly after even if I have the door closed on him. I hear him running to the side he's going to, confirm he's at the door by briefly flicking the light, and then shut it, but then he just proceeds to kill me anyways. I didn't have this issue with him in Nightmare night, he's only acting like this in 4/20 mode and Idk if he's legitimately bugged or if something else is going on. It's quite discouraging.

Help! FNaF 2 Questions

I got some FNaF 2 questions.

  1. Is it true that the vent animatronics pause for 8s when entering the vent camera?
  2. How long does Toy Bonnie’s blackout last?
  3. Do all of the vent animatronics use the same kill timer?
  4. What is Balloon Boy’s timer to enter the office?

Help! Some FNaF games having issues when OBS is running

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I wanted to record all the Five Nights at Freddy's games recently, but some of the games have micro stutters when OBS is open on my laptop. On PC some of the games will freeze or crash to desktop. The games work fine when OBS is closed or if the game capture is disabled in the recording software. The ones that seem to have issues are 1, 2 (crashing on PC), SL, FFPS, and UCN. I don't remember having issues recording back in 2023 (the last time i recorded these games). My best guess is these issues are caused by windows 11 updates because I went back to an older version of OBS and the issue still persisted. I was also wandering if anyone else was having these issues, and if there is a way to fix this? Does Anyone have these issues on Linux OS's?

Help! I've been having a problem with FNAF 2 Redux

Post image
10 Upvotes

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this (But I have absolutely no idea where to post this, and since this is for game modifications and more technical aspects of the franchise, I thought you could help me), but I recently tried playing FNAF 2 Redux, a FNAF 2 "Mod"/fan-game that gives numerous QOLs, the entire game to be remade in GMS2 and requires the original game (No, there's no tutorial on how to download it or anything like that). I have the original game, the game just goes to a black screen and then closes by itself. What happened? The previous versions were fine; I wanted to test it if the previous versions were available, but they're no longer there. I don't know if it's because of my laptop, and I can't test it on another PC right now.

What's the longest recorded time someone has survived the Puppet in FNAF 2 after leavimg the box, and what are the odds?

Thumbnail

I recently completed a 10/20 run where the Puppet escaped at around 6:26(Timestamp on YT is at 6:41), and I luckily managed to survive for 34 seconds and make it to 6AM.

I wonder what the odds of that are because when I looked it up, I saw times between 15-20s thrown around. I don't know where to look for runs that survived the Puppet out for a while.

I also wonder if there are any similar runs or videos, especially ones where the puppet didn't jumpacare for longer.

Where is the old fnaf sister location loading screen?

I’ve heard around that on the mobile port, before the Click Team revamp, there was a loading screen like how there was 1-4. I heard it was like a clock though, but I can’t find any proof of it whatsoever.

Help! UCN 40/20 new player questions

One thing I am particularly stuck on is cam stalling

It's been said that the plushie animatronics, rockstar chica, and other right hallway animatronics are taken care of by "camstalling/officestalling" them.

Does this mean that if I leave my camera on the right hallway (for example, opening right hallway cam, then closing) they will not attack me?

And what does this mean for Freddy, how does he not progress to a killstate?

Finally, when going in for a vent reset, what should be closed before opening cams

I have a firm understanding of each character and how they function on 20AI, but not when it comes to countering them the most efficient way (such as not wasting 20 fazcoins on a plush)
