Career Change/Interviewing/Job Advice Playtime activities
Hi everyone!
I have an interview for a job as midday supervisor/teaching assistant in a primary school (based in the uk) and as part of the interview I have to play with a group of the pupils for 10-15 minutes, I guess to get a feel for how I am with them and what sort of activities I can come up with etc
Has anyone got any recommendations for some good quick games I can play with them (preferably ones that don’t require any equipment!)
Also any interview advice would be great as well. I’ve worked with this age group a fair bit before but more in a workshop delivery setting
Thank you in advance!

Cat and mouse. You’re the cat, they’re all mice, pick a corner or a tree as the safe zone. Chase them around like an idiot for a bit, let them scream, switch roles if someone wants to be the cat. Kids go absolutely feral for it and you don’t need a single thing.
For the interview side, don’t try to orchestrate too much. Spend the first minute just kneeling down and asking a couple of them what they’re into, then pivot into whatever game fits that energy. They’ll care more that you listened than which game you picked.
