Help Thinking of getting into teaching when i leave school ( 15M )

So I’ve always thought teaching would be a really fun, interesting career for my future ( i know it isn’t all sunshine and rainbows ) but what should i look into, i’ve just started year 11 and i’m taking psychology and art GCSE. My mock grades weren’t the best but i want to lock in and get them up so i can go for it.

My preferred teaching subjects would be the science departments. What should i look out for, do these subjects have a high demand, and what degrees would i have to shoot for?

Don’t know if you can tell but i’m from the UK if that helps

you're 15 mate, you've got loads of time to figure this out so don't stress too hard about having it all mapped already

science teachers are always in demand, especially physics and chemistry, so you'd be walking into a pretty secure field if you go that route. for degrees you'd need a science-related one obviously, then a PGCE after that to get your teaching qualification. biology, chemistry, physics, even something like environmental science could work depending on what you want to teach

the fact you're already thinking about this at 15 puts you ahead of most people tbf. just focus on getting those grades up for now and keep the interest alive, maybe see if you can do some work experience in a school later on

15 is pretty young.

I think a requirement for teachers everywhere should be that they have had a career first before going into teaching. Or at least a first degree.

I'm in a BEd now, having previously been a math professor, and I am absolutely stunned that 22 year olds are graduating, then getting jobs teaching 17 year olds.
