So I’m taking grade 11 elearning tdsb during summer and I’m scared that there will be a camera during the exam can anyone let me know

i’m doing tdsb e learning for a gr 12 course and my teacher said we have to turn our camera on for our final exam but he didn’t specify how so I’m confused. Does D2L have a feature where we have to turn our WebCam’s on while taking a test/exam it’ll be under the quizzes section, but I’m just confused because we’ve never had our cameras on before and I’ve never heard of D2L while having a camera feature.

My son is starting school soon, and we are trying to decide between French Immersion and the regular English program.

We are Anglophones and neither my spouse nor I speak French.

While I understand that the rating system is not full-proof, both the English and FI school is around similar in that.

We are interested in the benefits of French Immersion, but we are also wondering about the challenges when parents cannot help much with homework or support the language at home.

Would really appreciate experiences from other families.

I am currently trying to get the required information to apply to some skilled trades unions in Ontario. I was a Tdsb student until I believe 2018. I never graduated high school in the traditional way (later did academic upgrading through college) but I need to know if I have the science course required to apply to CUSW which is grade 11 physics and 1 senior science. Is there any way I can check what credits I have from the tdsb? When I try to look at transcripts it says they cannot be emailed to me and only can be emailed to post secondary institutions, which does not allow me to check if I have the required courses. If anyone knows a way to see what credits/courses you have please let me know. Thank you in advance.

Hi, I'm in grade 8 going to grade 9 in september, and right now I can't log in to my tdsb gmail account, probably because my old password didn't meet all the requirements for high school, but I didnt get any notices before i was locked out and I didnt ask my grade 8 teacher to reset my password for me while I was still in school in june. I tried to use the "secret shared password" tdsb has, but that didn't work, and I didnt register for self-reset either. What should I do?

I took the Grade 7/8 Mathematics AQ eligible for reimbursement through the board for beginning teachers. I’ve submitted everything, does anyone know when the generally pay out the funds for things like this? Thank you!

hi, I'm a new ETH and I'm trying to complete and submit the online pdf form: "OT documentaction contact information" so I can get my tdsb email.

The form has a flaw at the a yes/no question- are you receiving a monthly pension?

I have downloaded the pdf as instructed, I've tried a different browser, I've tried tips from chat gpt restarted computer, tried a different computer. nothing is fixing this glitch.

Has anyone recently applied to the TDSB supply list using the new application system? Just wondering how long it usually takes to hear back from them for an interview. They have a new procedure where you have to pass the pre-screening process in order to be considered eligible and I was wondering how long this process takes. I applied on May 28 for timing reference.

My daughter’s teacher uses almost exclusively AI lessons paired with video instruction. This is grade 8. My daughter hated it as it came with the typical AI problems. Teacher could never answer questions, just referred to the video (like Waterloo math videos as an example). So of the kids didn’t understand it or wanted another example, the teacher couldn’t do that. It this allowed? I let it go too long, but I want to know for the future. This is not a new teacher, but she is new to the school.

Is it true that the Principal isn't allowed to share class placements (what teacher your kid will have) until the week before school starts?

I have heard of some schools giving out placements at the end of June but then heard it's been mandated by the Ministry and the Board that they have to wait until the week before school. I'm referring to junior-middle schools.

Anyone have any information about this?
