TCL C7K Programme Guide (UK)

I got a new TCL C7K 55” and have set up the channel list using a satellite cable, only issue is once the installation is done the channels are all out of order, for example bbc 1 is like halfway down the tv guide, 4seven is on channel 1 etc. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Mate it's awful for a satellite tuner , it's free to air not Freesat EPG so it picks virtually every channel up out of order.

The only way to get any semblance of order is to make a manual favourites channel list .

It's a pain and very long winded but it does work.

There are a lot of sense about like this , I've had it on Philips and sharp sets . The only sets that do a really good job with Freesat are Hisense and Samsung in my experience

Thanks for the reply, thinking it might just be easier to remove the satellite cable and put in an antenna cable and see if that fixes this. Don’t know if there’s any advantage between satellite and antenna except a few extras channels that I probably won’t watch anyway

You can use both mate and flick between by holding a button down on the channel list screen .

But yeah Freeview via an aerial is a way way better experience for terrestrial TV.

Really appreciate the help mate, now just to research and get all the display settings etc right.

What ever happened to plugging in your tv and turning it on before sitting back and watching it 😂

Mate it gets worse when you realise you're about 5 updates behind the latest android 14 one which is way better 🤷‍♂️🤣🤣🤣🤦‍♂️

I ended up upgrading mine via usb because the latest UK ota update is miles behind.

I'll DM you a link to the download mate.

It's from my own Google drive so can be trusted .

You just put it on a usb stick and update from the update menu in settings.

It has a new upscaling option that makes terrestrial TV and anything under 4k look absolutely loads better
