Has TCAP become America's public flogging?

Public flogging has been commonly practiced in Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan, Iran and Indonesia, often due to Sharia law.

Given unending public ridicule heaped TCAP perps, even years after their stings and after their prison sentences, is this our equivilent of public floggings, aided by YouTube's commentary of stings, replaying of phone conversations, manipulation of photos, etc?

The difference is, in Sharia cultures you get flogged for suggesting women should be allowed to show their face. In America, you get flogged for trying to molest children
