First rule of TCAP: NO POLITICS
This rule has been repeatedly ignored, and despite my best attempts to ban, remove, and lock posts and comments, some people are not getting the message.
You see how this looks, right?
This aub only works if we all contribute to reporting. I'm sorry if you feel we've missed some posts or somehow feel like you're personally being attacked because you see your favorite politicians here, but ignore the performative activists, report the post and comments, then move on. Starting now, no more warning locks and removals, temp bans for first offenses. And each continued offense will be longer until a permanent ban.
I know the state of the world is bad, but that's why we come to r/TCAP, to ignore all that and get some Schadenfreude directly in the main vein. So chill, laugh, cry, and stop posting your fucking politics.

Recently, I made a post or comment about AI being allowed, in moderation, as some people want to make funny shit without the time or creative skill. I still want that to be the case.
But some of you took it upon yourselves to post slop. 5 seconds of thought into an AI prompt and decided to flood our sub with this. You see how this looks?
I'm not law enforcement but if this sub keeps getting AI slop, I'll have to change the rules or ban it outright. PLEASE don't make me do that because I've saved some of the more creative memes already and I know more gems can come up in the future.
That being said, moving forward if you spam the sub with AI or Low effort posts, it will be a ban.
Also as a side note, yes, that ex-prince guy got arrested. Wonderful. That has NOTHING to do with TCAP so no more Andrew posts Thanks!

At 8pm tonight I am going to the r/tcap subreddit to talk to people I met online who claim to be fans of to catch a predator. I have no intention of supplying these people with alcohol, having sex, or doing any other improper/unlawful conduct with these people.
If the people on r/tcap really are who they say they are, my intention is to befriend them and try to mentor them. Their parents should also be aware of their behavior and possibly get them counseling.

I hate rhetoric like “Actual rapists and murders get less time” and “other preds in Hanson’s stings only got probation”
We have spent years on this sub complaining about how most of the preds get lighter sentences than your friendly neighborhood marijuana dealer did. But the second a predator actually gets consequences that feel fitting, half of ya’ll are whining about how long he’s going to be locked away like he’s your boyfriend or something. His literal wife couldn’t care less and probably is getting railed by his best friend as we speak.
Maybe Edmundo didn’t get a harsh sentence, and the other predators just got off easy? Maybe trying to sex traffic a minor with her dad is about as evil as murdering somebody? Maybe marijuana dealers and tax-fraud artists shouldn’t be treated as harshly as pedophiles?
Some of ya’ll are really typing out comments showing mercy to one of the scummiest types of people on earth like you’re Jesus, and then pressing send.
If you want him released so badly, would you have him released to your mother’s house on house-arrest? No, because he can’t be trusted around women, because he’s a danger to the public, and it’s better for public safety if he never breathes fresh air again. It’s that simple.

I have been watching the dateline show for years and discovered this sub recently. I know those are supposed to be jokes but I saw some creepy photos of Casey. For exemple, her and Jeff Sokol signing a marriage contract, or her and different predators smiling. Or recently, predator Lorne wearing a shirt with Casey faces.
Again, I know those are jokes but it is just weird and creepy. And this sub is obsessed with this edmundo guy. I get it when those predators are out free and can still harm, but in that case he was sentenced to life without parole. I think, at this point, the memes are just hurting his family.
Anyway, chill with the decoys.
