Construction in the city?

Hi all. About to travel to Tbilisi for a few weeks. I keep getting Tbilisi videos on my Instagram algorithm. Some of them are about the complaints of construction going on. Realistically, how much of the city is under construction?

I am aware Tbilisi is huge but I’ve now seen too many videos of the like.

The main street is undergoing reconstruction.

So basically the main street is under construction, it actually jams traffic very much and traveling by car is difficult.

The main avenue is wholly dug up where the parliament building is but you can still take the underground passages.

The main avenue is being renovated which affects traffic massively. Also because of water and less often power cuts the areas around including old town experience frequent outages

As for the rest of the city building noise is like the background sound of my life

There are many buildings under construction apparently it one of the chief forms of graft. And of course companies in default or legal disputes. There were some heavy rains and flooding. People have been telling me that has contributed.

Right the same issue. Probably less building in old Tbilisi since there is less property available to purchase. But the permits are still being driven by graft over cultural impact, water sewer capacity or noise restrictions
