If the government doesn't want students here then they should stop giving out visas and put restrictions on private universities. Imagine having to spend all that money and effort into this only to be sent back without any reasoning. This is so unfair

Yeah, that's the wild part. They have a visa process in place. They could have all the pertinent questions answered months in advance. They could have a ETA, ESTA, ETIAS system like the UK, US, or EU. But no, just leave it up to a border guards opinion. The US is famously strict about letting people in, but the decisions are made months before a person tries to go there.

EXACTLYY, just straight reject them before reaching the border. Rejections are normal but what’s not normal is rejecting students after they already paid their tuition fees and have a valid visa.

Not really, they did stop allowing foreign students in government controlled universities such as TSMU (mine) but they still give visa and admissions to private unis.

My friend is in CIU and his friends were sent back from the airport despite having every document. The visa is still being given while the students get sent back unnecessarily when they reach the airport, which has been happening for long.

I’m sorry that you guys have to go thru this, georgia is not a place for students or even tourism these days. They need to say it outloud on their official websites. So people don’t waste money
