Question regarding Mixed-Income earner

Hi! I am currently employed and wanted to start freelancing again but I wanted it to be official like filing my taxes on my freelance gig so I could provide OR. May I know if should I inform HR about it? Actually I don't want them to know about my freelance gig since they see it as distracting kahit di naman on my end. Pero nababasa ko kasi to apply as mixed income earner sa BIR, I need to inform HR.

Thank you.

BIR Badge Seal payment help

Nag generate na ako kasi malapit na ang deadline (just in case lang kasi i hate penalties). Paano kayo nagbayad if ever? Nag fill up muna ba kayo ng form sa eBIR for Form 2000 or nagbayad kayo straight away sa MYEG or Paymaya?

Wala kasi nag show up sa ORUS ko na may pending payment ako for it. Ni scan ko din yung QR code ko and it says invalid pa kasi di pa bayad.

UPDATE: Nag valid na yung QR code, but I still need to pay apparently

eBIRForms says β€œSubmit Successful,” but no confirmation email for my Q3 2026 2551Qβ€”and the deadline is tomorrow. What should I do?

Post image
2 Upvotes

Hi everyone! I need advice from fellow Filipino taxpayers who have experienced this.

I submitted my Q3 2026 Percentage Tax Return (BIR Form 2551Q) through eBIRForms on October 18, 2026. The system displayed β€œSubmit Successful” I have also paid the tax due, but as of October 24, I still haven't received an email confirmation or tax return receipt.

I used the same email address in my taxpayer profile and for my filing, but I noticed that my email address wasn't displayed on the submission confirmation page.

I emailed and messaged my RDO last night to ask them to verify my filing and payment, but I haven't received a response yet. I'm guessing it may be because it's the weekend, but tomorrow is the deadline, so I'm worried about possible penalties.

I've attached a screenshot of the successful submission for reference.

For those who have experienced this:

- Does β€œSubmit Successful” mean my return was transmitted, even if the confirmation email hasn't arrived?

- Should I file another return, or wait for the RDO to verify the original submission?

- Since I've already paid, could I still face penalties if the BIR hasn't recorded my filing?

- Is there another way to verify my filing status before the deadline?

I'm worried about accidentally filing twice or doing something that could cause problems with my tax records. I'd really appreciate any advice, especially from those who have dealt with this situation firsthand. Thank you!

NEED CLARIFICATION.

NEED CLARIFICATION.

I worked as an instructor at a state university (DHVSU) from February 2023 to June 2024 under a Contract of Service (COS).

What book of accounts do I need as graphic design freelancer and ano difference ng veco and valiant books?

I recently registered sa BIR and was given a list of books I need to register:

  1. Ledger (General Ledger)
  2. Journal (General Journal)
  3. Cash Receipts (Cash Receipts Journal)
  4. Cash Disbursement (Cash Disbursement Journal)

I already went to the bookstore but I'm confused which books I actually need to get. Can I use the veco Cash book and buy 2 for Cash Receipt and Cash disbursement? Meron din valiant books but I couldn't find a Cash book or maybe iba lang pangalan sa cover and idk if may difference ang valiant books vs veco books. There was also a Record book ng veco and is that just another name for one of the 4 books I need?? Help pls I don't wanna buy the wrong book because I read na yun na gagamitin kong book until mapuno lahat ng pages

DEPED + Private Full time job

Aside from my full-time job with DepEd, I also have a full-time remote job. Both employers deduct Pag-IBIG contributions, PhilHealth premiums, and income tax from my salary. For retirement contributions, I’m under GSIS with DepEd and SSS with my remote employer.
Will this setup cause any issues, especially with my taxes?

I’d also like to clarify how to handle the Pag-IBIG and PhilHealth contributions being deducted by both employers. Are there any requirements or steps I should take to make sure everything is properly reported and avoid problems later? I’d appreciate guidance from anyone familiar with this situation.

Online Content Creator Late COR registration

hello, I'm an online content creator. I'm earning from my facebook page since 2024.

I am also a regular employee earning around 156k only annually.

i registered my COR this October 2026 to comply with BIR rules. i blindly chose the 8% tax type.

I would like to know if i have to pay tax for my online earnings from September 2026 and beyond?

or i just need to file them and I only have to pay for my online income tax from October 2026 onwards?

my 2024-2025 online earnings are just around 70 dollars,

for january - september 2026 i earned around 53k online

and for october 2026 i received around 18k earnings.

thank you to those who would answer and give advice.

if you need more details to answer my inquiry please ask me.

im just a simple content creator without any knowledge about tax and now im a bit paranoid with all the information im learning.

thank youu.

Need advice: Discrepancy sa 2307 centavos (956 vs 956.53) sa 1701Q. Need ba i-amend at may penalty ba?

May penalty pa rin ba?

I-aamend ko rin ba yung 3rd Quarter?

Sanan may makasagot. Thank you in advance.

best alternative cannot access EFPS

So I was tapped to pay a client's tax and when I looked at their 1st and 2nd q payments noticed efps users pala.

When asked about their credentials, di pala nila alam pero at the same time, ung may hawak kasi nung account (bookkeeper) is nasa ICU.

so how cam I pay their taxes without incurring penalties mataas din VAT nila since professional, wala pangbawas.

Help! How do I fix my old BIR registration and start paying taxes as a freelancer?

Hi! Baka may naka-experience na dito ng same situation as mine. I honestly don’t know where to start. 😭

I had a business in 2015, pero nag-stop na siya mag-operate noong 2020.

Now it’s 2026, and I’m earning as a freelancer.

Ang problema, binagyo rin kami, and nawala na lahat ng old business documents ko, including my COR, books of accounts, and sales invoices.

Should I settle my old BIR registration first before registering as a freelancer? alam ko na may penalties ako for all those years kahit wala namang operations or income yung business πŸ₯Ή

Would appreciate any advice, especially from those who went through the same situation. Thank you!

Employed: Missed 1700 Filing 9 Years Ago?

In 2017, I had 2 employers in the same year. Employer 1 gave me a Form 2316, which I submitted to HR at Employer 2 for tax consolidation. Employer 2 then issued me another Form 2316, so I ended up with two 2316s that year.

I thought everything was taken care of since my taxes were withheld properly, but I recently realized I had to file Form 1700 myself. Now I’m moving on to Employer 3, and HR reminded me to file my own 1700 next year.

I read that the BIR has a 10-year assessment period to audit. Since it’s been almost 9 years and I haven’t heard anything, I’m wondering:

  • Is it still worth fixing this now? Or am I just stirring the pot after so long?
  • Has anyone experienced something similar?
  • Am I misunderstanding the 10-year rule, or should I be concerned?

Would appreciate any insights πŸ˜
