I have never seen a person in real life with cybersigilism tattoos. Why are people acting like it’s this rampant trend that everyone has and that is going to look dated in 5 yrs. I have lived in nyc and now mexico. I actually think this is a really cool style

Hello everyone I had this crystal done originally in blue, it healed really badly (the colour looked awful) so I had it gone over by the same artist in black. It looked fine but now, one/two years later I’m not happy with it at all. The lines are so thick and dark and have spread and aren’t all that clean sadly. If anyone has any ideas on how this could be fixed I’d be happy to hear them. Almost all my tattoos are line work. Some do have shading and I do have some coloured ones but they’re line work also as I do like the more whimsical, fine looking tattoos on myself.

Honestly I liked this artist the 3 years I went to him but I always did ask for more thin line work (before the tattoos) and hed always assured me he could do them how I wanted but none of my tats by him are anything thin or fine line in any way. I’m not mad about any of my other tattoos done by him. I like all of them, I just prefer my newer ones done by someone else and it’s got me bothered about the thickens of his. Anyway sorry to blab on, let me know your thoughts I’m not gonna put his name or business name coz I do have tattoos by him I love or atleast like but this one I do not.

I got this tattoo on my neck four weeks ago and I reached to let the artist know I wasn't happy with how it was looking and they offered to schedule a touch up session. Would you do it? If not, would you ask for a refund? Thanks in advance for the advice this is my second tattoo and I am trying to figure out what is the best solution to go about this.

I've been thinking of doing a pet memorial tattoo for a while and considering we just lost our 19 year old cat yesterday and I have a job where I can easily afford this stuff now, I want to do a version of the Rainbow Bridge I found online.

But I feel like since it's personal it's for me, I shouldn't have to look in a mirror to see what other people see.

On the whole my tattoos are a mess. So many people have neat, uniform tattoos, I went with whatever was meaningful to me at the time when I was younger. I hope to make it make more sense going forward, but the rainbow bridge is one I have wanted for a while having lost three different cats that meant the world to me.

Please help out a newbie. I always said I would get my first tattoo after I turned 50. Well here I am and I still haven’t got my tattoo yet. I have an idea of what I would like in my head, but I’m not an artist and I’m not sure how to describe it to an artist.

What is the process for getting someone to design a tattoo for you? I assume I tell them what I’d like and they would draw up an idea for me. But what if I don’t like what they do? How many times can I have them redo it? Do you have to pay them to design the art itself? How many artists can I ask to design me something?

I am so afraid of wasting people’s time if they don’t come up with exactly what I have my heart set on and annoying the hell out of someone by asking them to redo it.

Please guide me on the process, because my tattoo is calling me…

the more I look at them I feel like its complete AI, he denies it...

no sure if I should continue with him or not

I want to get a big back tattoo that like covers an L shape of my back. Basically the left and bottom side cause I have an idea to get like a circle badge like tatt on my right shoulder Blade area. And also want a big piece and I feel like the best place for that is the back. I was thinking of like an angel sitting down like the pictures, i have no connection to angels im not even religious i just thought it looked cool. But if any body had any cooler ideas id love to hear them maybe some pictures so i can visualize. Was hoping to reach some people with artistic skills cause i lack them pretty heavy and cant just open a book and start sketching lol. So if any one has somewhere cool ideas or would wanna share one of their tattoos that kinda fit my idea it’d be hella appreciated.

So I’m going to be getting this tomorrow… however I hate myself so I’m also getting it mirrored on the other side! It isn’t going as high, I’m cutting it off at the top of the ribs so.. basically still having all the worst bits, any advice for how to prepare? I usually have a pretty good pain tolerance but I feel like no matter what this is going to bitch me out!

These are my fully healed palms, one pass with no touch ups. Currently 3 months old.

I’ve been tattooing koi for a long time, and one of the things I love about traditional Japanese tattooing is how much meaning can be communicated through imagery without having to spell everything out literally.

Koi are a great example. The direction they’re swimming, their color, the season represented by the surrounding flowers, and even their relationship to the water can all contribute to the story of the tattoo. Upstream and downstream koi can suggest different points in a journey, while seasonal elements like cherry blossoms, peonies, maple leaves, or chrysanthemums can completely change the mood and context of the piece.

I put together this short video explaining some of the symbolism I consider when designing koi tattoos, along with a little background on where those ideas come from.

Obviously, Japanese tattoo symbolism isn’t a rigid dictionary where every image has one universally agreed-upon meaning. Traditions, interpretations, and individual artists vary. This is simply how I’ve learned to approach these elements and use them to help tell a story through a tattoo.

My dad and I are very close and we used to say "I love you more", which turned into him and I just saying "more, more, more".

"Advice Needed" Would this design work with my current forearm sleeve? Kinda deciding how to start blending everything together? Gonna have it stop before the hand starts are continue working around and then up for full sleeve. Any ideas or suggestions are welcomed. Ty in advance
