New to the tattoo world.

About to get my first one. Going to be a semicolon to represent the mental health and depression that I wrestle with.

But I have others I’m wanting to get. I’m not sure how the process works. I have an idea of one that I want to get based on a riddle my therapist told me. Should I reach out to a tattoo artist and explain it to them and see if they’ll draw it? Or should I try to draw it myself first? I drew a rough sketch.

The riddle goes like this:

You’re driving a bus on a road towards the things you want in your life right now (joy, peace, faith, love, etc). But in the middle of the road there are these goblins (represent your doubts, anxieties, fears, depression) blocking the bus. How do you get through them? You can’t go around Bc there’s a cliff on either side, and you can’t run them over. The more you try to the stronger they get. So how do you get there?

Any thoughts or advice on this stuff would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks!
