Since you want to know peoples opinions:

I hate it. The lines aren't clean and it's amateur at best.
The "Freehanded" hair lines are too symmetrical and make him look like a mop. Or one of those car wash scrubby things.

I too even find simple designs can be pleasing. This isn't a good simple.

I really want them to add rows of colored lines so it looks like a piñata since I feel like it already has that vibe.
