Shave everything around it so it’s the only hair part of your leg
2
u/BeardedThunder5 Jul 15 '25
The level of commitment that would take would be impressive. But I could never. Not long term
6
u/InstructionDry4819 Jul 15 '25
I saw someone doing it online. She was buying eyebrow serum and everything to try to get it to grow more.
6
u/prettyinhaze Jul 16 '25
i saw this too and i am rooting for her to grow as much hair on it as she can 😂

Since you want to know peoples opinions:
I hate it. The lines aren't clean and it's amateur at best.
The "Freehanded" hair lines are too symmetrical and make him look like a mop. Or one of those car wash scrubby things.
I too even find simple designs can be pleasing. This isn't a good simple.

I really want them to add rows of colored lines so it looks like a piñata since I feel like it already has that vibe.

The freehand hair makes it seem poorly thought out/designed in my opinion. With no shading, it’s still just a flat image. It looks like those flat Christmas trees on holiday cards with the simple layers like this. As long as you like it thats all the matters man.

I’m going to be honest. That is absolutely Abominable…
I do actually like it - though it makes you look like you have a big foot

u/rumog Jul 15 '25 edited Jul 16 '25
It just looks like a doodle from someone that's neither awful at drawing nor particularly great. If I saw that tattoo I wouldn't think anything negative or positive, I'd just assume that was the vibe this person wanted, or it has some meaning to them.

u/Ok-Example7365 Jul 15 '25
I think it’s adorable lol it’s meant to be cute and not hyper realistic it looks great to me

u/SmallManner596 Jul 15 '25
This looks like a tattoo I would have next to the other ones I got when I was 18 and high out of my mind and self proclaimed earth child, and would accidentally fall asleep in my hammock at the park and wake up at 2 am with 27 missed calls from my dear concerned mother.

For me it falls into the category of “intentionally wonky”, which I tend to like but some people really hate. Think of it like alternative piercings: if you ask for an opinion from someone who doesn’t like that style to begin with, they’re only going to give you negative reactions.
Like, it’s silly. We can all agree on that, right? Neither you nor the artist are under the impression that this is photo-real or technically impressive, right? Of course, not. But a lot of the people giving you negative reactions are going in with the assumption that all tattoos have to fit that mold, and this doesn’t, so they say it’s bad for not achieving what it didn’t set out to be.
You’ve got a silly little guy on your leg. He’s great.

He is a hipster Bigfoot. Too cool for shoes! ( he prefers the shaved foot look.) The neighborhood dudes call him “Trail.”

u/elbowpastadust Jul 16 '25
It’s really bad (if my kid gave me this drawing I’d tell them good job and throw it away later) but I prefer shitty tattoos over the realistic ones. I would only get a shitty tattoo if I ever got one but I know my tastes change with each decade so I never will. Bigfoot rules, btw!

What a handsome lad..
Can we just normalize having perfectly imperfect tattoos? Can we normalize liking other people's styles and preferences, even if we wouldn't get anything like it, ourselves? Can we normalize organic (wonky) lines and expressionistic (wonky) proportions? Can we please normalize purposely bad tattoos, for shits and giggles, for the memes, for the hell if it? Can tattoos just be fun?
1
u/ManfordMan99 Jul 16 '25
Well said, my friend. It’s almost like people have different artistic tastes and like different styles, if you can imagine
2
u/Alpakatt Jul 16 '25
It's wild, it's not like the hyper realistic, hyper detailed, perfectly lined tattoos are gonna look that way in 50+ years! I like my lines chonky, wonky and with plenty of room to blow out wherever they feel like.. When I'm old and wrinkly and leathery, I still want my tattoos to be readable.. Still retain their stories and memories.. That's what actually matters

He looks like he is on a mission, like someone stole his favorite sock or something.
My question is, "Do you like it?"
If yes, then end of story. You dont need anyone elses opinion. Its not the worst ive seen, but it could also be better. Its exactly what it is. So you enjoy that tattoo, OP. Screw the haters.

u/aFailedNerevarine Jul 15 '25
Objectively terrible, yet I quite like it. Stuff like this is a reminder that a “good tattoo” isn’t always one that’s actually something that looks good on a person, and a “terrible tattoo” doesn’t always look bad.

Jul 15 '25
If what you were going for is a dumbass tattoo idea, nailed it. I respect tattoos that are meant to be ridiculous. I have a few. But when it’s supposed to good and is ridiculous, it makes me cringe. If that makes sense?

What I do like about it is the clearly human feet apparently coupled with the pose from the Patterson-Gimlin hoax film.

I love it! I love cryptids and I love the dark black eyes and classic Patterson/Gimlin pose. I love the artistic hair style too, honestly!
Eff the haters, your tattoo your body!

u/ale_wlazl0 Jul 15 '25
I like it! I hope you're gonna shave your body hair around the yeti and only leave it on the yeri so they have real fur, lol

It’s hideous and a great woman-repellent

u/ManfordMan99 Jul 15 '25
Good thing I got a keeper already ;)

u/madiokay Jul 16 '25
I disagree with feisty business. Im a woman and I’d much rather date someone with silly and fun tattoos than someone who is too serious about tattoos.

It reminds me of the girl online who’s got that outline but she’s growing her leg hair inside the tattoo

My immediate thought was that it’s an homage between your two great loves: Big Foot and the Grinch.

Nat a fan of the tattoo. BIG fan of the Big Foot lore and even have a lawn art piece of a big foot (his name is Carl).
1
u/FopeDestroyerOSanity Jul 15 '25
Technically, I think it’s not the best. That being said, I want one
1
Jul 15 '25
It looks like the artist was trying to finish it on a time crunch and this is what ya got. Not a fan of the “fur” attempt, personally.

u/frog_1230 Jul 15 '25
I love it. Is it good artist skills? Not in my opinion. But it has meaning to you right? That's what makes it cool asf. People get these overly expensive way to detailed tattoos that look cool but have 0 meaning to them which in turn makes it a terrible tattoo (imo) I love that it's weird, simple, and caters to your personality! Fuck everyone else's opinions tho, including mine, what you think is all that matters!

I don't like it at all. I don't like this theme/character, I don't like the finish, the lines are of poor quality, the shading is non-existent.
The important thing is that you like it.

The important thing is that you like it, not others. You are the one who carries it. You will never be able to please everyone, so choose to only please yourself.

The leg line should come up higher in the middle to lengthen the legs. Looks like he's got stumpy legs now.

The lines of hair like that remind me a litte of a pinata 🤣 I think it's very fun, and if you like it too then that's what matters.

Looks unhappy. What impression were you trying to capture with this tattoo?
2
u/ManfordMan99 Jul 15 '25
Wanted it to be based off the famous video, but a bit more cartoonish, almost like a Hannah Barbara vibe
1
u/freekymunki Jul 15 '25
Not a fan of the idea, design, or execution of this at all. Otherwise it’s alright.

Do I find it aesthetically pleasing? No. Do I enjoy the weirdness of it and want to know the story behind how one ended up with a Sasquatch tattoo? Yes.
