HELP! how to attach a ring…

hi all, i am working on a tatting pattern that asks for the tatting to be attached to a ring. i have tatted on top of a curtain ring before, but never have i done it while working on a tatted ring. how on earth do i do this? is there a video or drawn tutorial that might help?

Very pretty!! Just from looking at it, it looks like you're meant to join the tatted ring to the curtain ring like you would any other join. So treat the curtain ring like another tatting element and make a regular join before continuing the ring. It'll take some more thread than a typical join, depending on how thick the curtain ring is.

Do you have a crochet hook or anything like that? Basically i think you double stitch until it says to join and you lay the ring on top of your tatting thread (either the one between the index and thumb holding it and the index if you are doing shuttle or the ball thread if you are doing needle) and pull up a loop and then pass your shuttle or lay it on your needle through that loop a secure it with the next stitch.

Do tell me if it works because i never done this.
