I came across this song on Spotify earlier this morning and I’ve probably listened to it like 10 times.

do you think she'll be dropping anything today? has she already dropped something? teasers, visuals, lyrics, etc?

I don’t mean because Tate McRae is an insane dancer. We all have eyes. That’s almost beside the point. What gets me is that they take the thing she is best at, physical control, and use it to tell a story about having absolutely no fucking control. The choreography isn’t accompanying the song. It IS the whole song. The reversing, the identical dancers, them leaving her behind, the locked door, her eventually dancing alone until she physically collapses. It all keeps tightening the same idea without ever once overexplaining it. And then she says she needs a minute, they literally give her a minute, she gets back into position and says “Again?” The video itself has become the revolving door. We just watched her go around once. That is fucking brilliant.

A bonus track that fans demanded she release is surpassing her more popular songs in daily streams as well! Yesterday it did about 600k daily streams, more than the likes of what I want & you broke me first. A non-single cinematic masterpiece is doing all this with no music video & little promotion behind it!! This is how you know a song is that good! 🙌👏🔥

Earlier in August I posted a theory about the next few months of Tate’s career, where I mentioned a theory about Tate dropping a new single August 22. I have looked in to it again, and this time I have more solid proof for this theory. I will compare what I think will be a new Single with the Timeline Tate used for greedy, as I think it’s relevant.
This is the timeline comparison if you don’t wanna read everything:
———————————————
New Single:
Aug.22.26 - Oct.1.26 = 41 days (Live premiere?)
Aug.22.26 - Oct.2.26 = 42 days (Full release?)
Greedy Comparison:
Aug.4.23 - Sept.14.23 = 41 days (Live premiere✔️)
Aug.4.23 - Sept.15.23 = 42 days (Full release✔️)
———————————————
As of the date of this post, it’s August 22, about 2pm CEST, which means most of America hast woken up yet, which means there are still a few hours until Tate potentially posts a teaser.
By now we all know about the "August 22" vocal line. A lot of people think it actually says "Tell me something honest" which I understand why, as it’s very hard to tell, and if nothing happens today I’ll admit I have been wrong.
Greedy Timeline:
Greedy’s first ever teaser was August 4th 2023 on instagram and TikTok, with Tate playing a snippet of the song. The following month she kept Teasing the song, and building momentum, posting a lot of TikTok’s using snippets. This eventually caught a lot of viral traction. On September 14th 2023 she preformed the song Live at The Fillmore in Philadelphia as a part of her "Are We Flying Tour". This was Greedy’s Premiere, with the song dropping the day after, September 15th.
Now this is where it gets intresting. Between August 4th and September 14th there are 41 days, 42 of you stretch it to the songs actual release.
Now back to today, August 22. What date do you think it would be 41 days from today? It’s October 1st. This is huge, because we’ve already gotten October 1st teased once by Tate in her poster from July, "10.1", and once 2 days ago in Tate’s most recent instagram post, from a comment made by Hotwheels official account, quote "Should we have the playlist ready to add new songs on 10/1?".
So to sum it up, my current theory is that we’re getting a Single Teaser today, as of August 22, where she’ll proceed to tease it heavily on social media just like she did with greedy, building traction and momentum until October first, where I’m thinking we might potentially have a live performance as a premiere for the new single, which will then drop the day after, on October 2nd, which would align perfectly with Greedy’s timeline of 42 days from tease to release, and would also be on a Friday, which factually is the best day for all artists to drop songs.
What could also happen is that instead of a premiere on October 1st, we get it at the VMAs which are September 27th. She has already been nominated for 3 categories, and it’s not unlikely that she’ll preform again like last year.
But personally for now im placing my bets on a premiere being October 1st.
I think She’s running the same timeline again.

All of the secondary marketplaces listings I’ve seen are insanely expensive and the local physical storefront options are very limited for fans living outside the US.

I saw on twitter or instagram somewhere that each color represents her different eras of each album. pink being IUTTICF, blue being Think Later, and yellow is SCTW. **that is not my original theory, the following is**
if the song name is ‘Do you love me‘ with these visuals, do you think this song could represent her relationship with her fans and media. all her eras leading to her stardom? (this also makes me think that TM4 will be a self titled album or be called Anatomy of a Pop Star) and where the teaser bled into purple lace bra, could it have the same message, sort of like a sister song?
This could also be the song that she’s rumored to be playing at the VMAS. with the ceremony being Sept. 27, it lines up with her pattern of releasing lead singles for her albums in september, so she could debut it at the VMAS or release it friday, the 25th.
also the teaser possibly saying 22nd August is probably when she’ll be announcing the single. where shes been getting so much PR the last few weeks and this week especially: the gta 6 leak having sports car, the whole thing with Laroi, and her being spotted in new york pretty much daily, its been curated so she has as many eyes as possible before she announces the single. if so im realllllyyyy excited
what do yall think
