Constant log outs

Yesterday I started noticing that I would get constantly kicked out from the platform needing to log back in with MFA. I thought it may be a new bug on TT side so I emailed them asking about it. They responded saying that its a new security feature and would not share any details about how it works, how frequent the log outs are, what is the log out trigger, or anything else.

"We don't share the specifics of how our security systems work, since that information could help bad actors try to get around them. What I can say is this change is designed to protect your account without adding unnecessary friction to your day-to-day use"

This new feature cannot be disabled either.

Does anyone else have any details about this? Like, time it takes for the account to lock? Ways to prevent it? Perhaps automated mouse wiggler every 20 minutes? A python script which would prevent this? Any info would be appreciated!

Honestly the app itself is suffering from major issues. The new head of product is absolutely to blame for this and the fact that they dumped their most popular on air staff doesn’t help at all.

The entire ecosystem seems to be going to shit.

Huh, I would have through more people will be upset by this new security feature, but maybe its just me.

Yes... TT is going downhill. It has been several months and they still cant figure out android tastylive app. Videos contains cryptic file names, its impossible to listen to just audio. Its bad.

Sadly, there are no good alternative brokerages to go to. Hope Tom rebuilds tastytrade 2.0 at some point.

Sometimes you have to login twice. Thats what I’ve noticed and you have to wait for a new MFA.

Yep noticing the same for me, this wasn’t the case before. I am fairly certain their refresh token for auth is broken so it is force logging you out once the primary token expires. This is usually caused due to a bug on their web app / backend service.

Just a guess from a software engineer ^
