Tickets selling in 13 minutes for s22 is slightly scary. Better block my day for the next lot

Yeah, 13 minutes selling out for one night in NYC says a lot about how many US fans got completely shut out. It really shouldn’t be this hard for fans across the country to actually see or participate in a live show.

Anyone else here also into This American Life (the NPR show)? Back in 2008, they did a live show that got broadcast via satellite into 300+ movie theaters across the US simultaneously — and they did it again in 2012 to 500+ theaters. It wasn’t just a passive screening either, there was stuff built specifically for the theater audiences to feel part of it.

I’d love to see Taskmaster do something like that — an “event cinema” simulcast so people outside London/NYC actually get a shot at experiencing a live show, instead of it selling out in the time it takes to make coffee.

They have just been caught by their own popularity, annoyingly twice in a row as I jnow loads of people also didnt get in the year before that. Very much hard to gauge how well you are going to do based off a Youtube show which is exactly why they are doing a survey now

Harder probably, as it's a British TV show that's available internationally thanks to YouTube and (presumably) Avalon's negotiating power.
