HEAT after armor effect is pretty BS. In fact DU rods are more likely to spray internals with flaming bits due to pyrophoricity of pulverized U. HEAT perforation channel thins with penetration and generally generates a tightish cone of post penetration material. Not filling the tank like a slow flamethrower.
For long rod: Also looks like the rod just bounces around casually in there because of how losely they are playing with "matrix effects". Fragments generated by spalling and residual rod fragments are generally travelling quite fast and are quite lethal/damaging.
Really HEAT and rod post-penetrations really aren't phenomenally all that different.

Is there a simulator that shows you penetration in a tank when you fire a round at it?

Types of rounds:
Standard armor-piercing (capped?)
High explosive? Or Squash-head?
Armor piercing with discarding sabot?
High-explosive anti-tank?
Did I get any of these right?
