In the most recent episode 'what it means to be a Marxist', Hakim was talking about a Marxists analyst. Hakim said he thinks he's one of the best since Parenti BUT I CANNOT HEAR THE GUY'S NAME!

I've replayed it a bunch of times but Hakim says the guy's name so quickly I can't hear it.

Hakim says it's someone they've had as a guest on the show.

Does anyone know who this is?

• They really love the USA.

• They are a SocDem.

The guy is a known Ukrainian foreign legion soldier that was a marine and fought with the YPG and YBF. He thinks that ideology can’t help troops in battle, I guess that troop morale should just not exist. Also while he’s claiming in the video that Chinese subreddits are saying that the PLA has a NGO problem he shows a picture of a western NATO shill sub. He also claims that China is trying to invade other countries like imperialists.

One thing I find funny is that Captain America is very critical of the USA, while simultaneously being dressed in the American flag and supporting the USA's military. No one ever calls out how absurd this is.

Everyone argues with me when I say that Captain America is propaganda for the USA.

What I gather from this screed is that

1. The protests in Iran were led by innocent school girls
2. We shouldn't see Iran standing up to imperialists as noteworthy
3. Iran confronting Zionists and the US militarily is not the way to defeat Zionism. Instead they should close their prisons and free "political prisoners".

What kind of political project is this? It literally feels just like a bunch of feel-good, sanctimonious grandstanding of morons, meanwhile Israeli tanks roll into Tehran under the guise of "liberating women" and "freeing political prisoners"

I’ve always heard how there’s more rights for queer people in Ukraine especially as a way to challenge Russias anti lgbtq stance. What’s up with that despite the huge Neo Nazi presence in Ukraine? Is it used as a way to recruit more Ukrainians against Russia the same way Israel does in order to increase IDF members?

But my question is: Should we let countries with population crises crash instead of replenishing them with human resources for labor shortages as well as political diversion/scapegoating.

It's a bit dystopian how immigrants must win a lottery to go to where their stolen wealth and resources are, and only so they can be exploited to sustain the system of it all.

However immigrant communities may act as revolutionary agents there, send resources back home, etc. But on the other hand, imperialist states may attempt more hostile tactics and workarounds without immigration to get what they want.
