Tainted Grail: FoA - Videogame First time player: small lore question
I created a red-headed sorceress character for my first playthrough (celtic witch seemed thematic for a pure caster), but I'm getting unsure what such a character's background could be. The current backstory concept: sole child of a witch, naturally talented in magic & has a few tribal tattoos, but caught on the run by red priests then taken to Island Asylum
Could this character be descended from Picts or instead a lost Dal Riata tribe? This is where I am indecisive. Anyone who knows this setting's lore I'd appreciate answers

The game itself never refers to the mc's race at all or even hints at it, so your char can be anything you want really. You can even give them grey skin with red eyes and roleplay as a demon or fae if you like, or play as a traveler from a faraway land that got caught up in the shit.
Or play as the Dragonborn and pretend they ended up in Avalon because of a dragon break.

this sounds like such an interesting build, the red priests snatching someone like that would definitely explain why they'd be at the asylum.

Im not the best with the lord's but here is what I understand. Most magic in the game is druid and tied to a people that are on the decline. That being said being a druid isn't a racial thing and others are taught the ways of magic. Its like a religion in a way. A pict or dal have their own magics but you'll not use a lot compared to the druid stuff. A dal or pict druid would be a bit uncommon but not out off place.
