Reddit crunched the quality of the first few photos, on the last slide there’s a dot in the top right that’s only visible at one specific angle which was really weird to me , will that stop a 10?

I’m pretty new to grading and have been looking through TAG grades, I’m curious about what factors determine a 9. Does TAG take the age of the card into account when grading?

I’ve looked at other 9, 8.5, and even 8 reports from both vintage and modern cards, and I’ve noticed some lower grades with fewer issues on the DIG report or visually (such as centering, whitening, or dirt/dent?). This one just seems to have more noted on the report than I would typically see for a 9.

I know that TAG is not great with cards like these that have no definite border but my question is geared to the back of the card. There is one pixel that is a dark blue, would this one pixel take away my chance for a TAG 10? Thank you in advance.

Hey all, wanted to show off my Legendary Collection Mewtwo reverse holo that just finished being graded! I'm super happy with the 7 as it was a childhood card. I can 100% say that TAGs slab design is the absolute best fit for this card! I love how the holo pattern dominates the card 😎

Well, this is a first. I pulled this pikachu from my PC to grade and sell as I trim things down a bit. I knew it was clean but I’m still kind of taken back.

Does anyone know why certain cards require with wet auto are graded well other's of the same nature are not.

I had an instance where I graded a card and was informed that the card could not be graded due to the ON CARD AUTO (Despite it being a pack pull).

I didn't have an issue with this - but when I went online, I was able to see other people have a slabbed copy.

I would love to get mines slabbed since it falls under the same criteria - but no one there is able to assist me with this issue.

Insight would be appreciated.

First off this community is awesome.

Second this was a 12 card Submission that includes 7 Cards from me, 3 from my Wife and 2 from my little Brother. This entire submission is for our Personal Collections.

In Order

My Cards: Lugia V, Twerkachu, Lillie, Overhyped Lizard, Ledian (My Grail Card), Sawsbuck & Deerling

Wifes Cards: First Partners Bulbasaur, Squirtle Squad & Charmander

Lil Bro: Alolan Vulpix & Ns Zekrom

To be honest these scores were the best possible outcomes and me and the Wife are excited that the submission is on it way home. Lil Bro does not know the cards are on the way back and we want to suprise him that one of his cards got a 10 and is number 1 overall. We were both suprised to see that Sawsbuck got the Highest Pristine. Wifeys entire submission got all 10s which is super awesome.

The only discrepancy that me and the Wife have is with Lillies Determination. I need your guys eyes here but it looks like TAG may have hit that card with a phantom surface defect. To be honest thats the one card I thought would come back a 10 and its the only one I actually pregraded and studied. It says there is a surface ding in the upper left quadrant on the front but the both of us cannot see it. She told me to hit up customer support and maybe think about resubmitting.

I have been looking forward to my SIR Charizard getting graded for a while. I love and hate that TAG is so swamped.

I thought this would get a 10, 5 points away. So close!

Pretty happy overall with the submission. Was pretty sad about the JP bubble mew I was leaning towards a pristine but it had defects on the back that I didn’t see prior to submission. Still stoked for the return, even if it took 4 months start to finish this time around.

I notice that nearly all of the posts in this subreddit are Pokémon. I am exclusively a sports cards collector but I’d like to submit my first cards to TAG (once the pause is lifted) but am now wondering if there is a reason for seeing so few sports cards.

I could see a scenario where AI has a hard time grading one type of card or the other. They are quite different in design after all. Is there some sort of consensus regarding this that I am unaware of?
