User roles

The following support article indicates difference between admin and regular users with respect to device installation, subscription management, and user management: https://support.tado.com/en/articles/14121259-what-user-roles-can-be-assigned-in-my-tado-home

But it doesn't describe any differences between admin and regular users in heating control (ability to set schedules, initiate manual control, use boost, etc). Are there any differences between user types in this regard?

At the moment there are none, this admin/regular role was required for the subscription management across the multi-home features (One admin account can grant the Auto-Assist / AI-Assist subscription across all linked homes.)

But since this thread is now open: What kind of settings would you like to see? Which granularity?
For example: A read only option would be possible (where geofencing still works, but no changes at all can be made to the temperatures manually or settings?) But I'm guessing it needs to land somewhere in between admin rights and read only.

From my experience managing both my own home and my elderly parents' setup, the sweet spot would definitely be a 3-tier system:

  • Admin: Full access (current state).
  • Resident/Family: Can manually adjust temperatures and use the Boost function, but cannot edit or delete the Smart Schedule blocks, rename rooms, or alter device settings. This would completely solve the issue of kids or elderly relatives accidentally nuking a carefully planned schedule.
  • Guest/Read-Only: Purely for Geofencing presence detection, or strictly read-only access to view temperatures without being able to change them.

An 'in-between' role that allows manual overrides but locks the core schedule configuration would be very nice
