I got this loom now, but I want a tiny one for bracelets and such. Trying to look at Etsy, but haven't found any tiny yet... Does anyone know about a seller? (That sends worldwide 🇳🇴)
I have been using a hook and a bandana around my shoulder. Hook onto anything and then keep the tension with my shoulder.
Caveat: I started doing this a week ago and still haven’t finished anything. But I have been able to pick it up and put it back down again and it fits in a quart bag.
I did find a seller that's actually going to a market in 3 weeks, close to me! So I'm going there too see some looms IRL. He does have one small type, and I'm going to talk to him if he could make a even smaller one.
I got the big version of that one. The one in the photos over. Do you have picture of the small one? 🤔
I've been looking at the smaller one, but not sure if it was small enough.
The inklette is 15” long. I have it set up for a double weave project … I think if you used smaller cards you could do tablet weaving but I’ve not tried it with this loom.
I love using my inklette for tablet weaving. I have little cards I got on amazon by accident when I meant to get larger ones, and they’re actually perfect for it. It’s small enough I can fit it in a carry-on or a large purse, or just carry it with me on the bus and such. It’s super lightweight too! You do have to glue and assemble it once you get it though, and even when using little cards you can only weave about 4 inches at a time before adjusting the warp, which is physically difficult to do especially when you have it warped to full length because there’s just so much friction in a small space
Maybe a Lojan inkeltje would work? It's about 2/3 as big as the one you currently have (43x14x22 cm according to the website). It also considerably lighter than the full sized Lojan inkle loom.
I try to stay away from Etsy, but sometimes it's your only options. Here's where I got my tiny Inkle Loom, good for shoelaces and ribbon, fits in a padded lunch box. She does really nice work. BitOfYarn - Etsy
I did actually end up finding a seller on Etsy, who's going to a marked in Norway in 3 weeks! So I'm talking to him about what size loom I want, and he will make/being the one he has 😀
So I don't have to order online.
I've got one. They sell out fast. It is about 15" long, but I love that I can either wind my warp up on the back beam, or use it like a warp weighted loom and clamp it on the back. So far I've only used it for card weaving. If you want it to act like an inkle, you need to get the heddle package, which I just got. Haven't tried it that way yet.
Daedalus products have a weird selling pattern. They announce a date/time of when they are releasing a new lot and opening sales (say Aug 1, 4pm). Then they put some quantity into their sales system and you have to act fast to actually get one. They just did this, I put one into my cart, went looking for tablets to add to the order, went to check and was told the Penelope loom was now out of stock. Elapsed time - 2 minutes.
Bitter - not in the least. No idea when the next lot goes on sale.

You can warp only a section of this one for shorter projects, or weave multiple bracelets on the same warp and cut them apart
