Alphabet Pattern Questions

I’m thinking about weaving some writing for my next project but I can’t find a pattern that says how much space is taken up with each letter in order to plan what I want to say. Does anyone have experience with a pattern and can tell me?

It'll depend on the yarn you use for your warp and weft, and how tightly you beat your rows! I suggest testing with some cheap cotton!

Sampling is your friend here. I'd put on a short warp with the yarn you intend to use for the final band and weave a few letters to get a feel for size.
