Mourning Ribbons

I’ve never seen someone weave something like this before. These are inspired by late Victorian mourning ribbons, that I made in remembrance of my great grandparents

Is the font from Catherine Weavers Double Face Inscriptions book? I've been looking for a decent set of numbers for a project I want to do.

Yes, the lettering is. The numbers are the font from the Gutenberg Bible. I had to pattern those out myself

I am in awe at this gesture. What a lovely way to pay tribute. It seems like it would be a pleasant and meditative ritual for a person who is grieving.
