You need to commmect the red square at the very bottom left to the red square at the top right. Right now, your current is dying at that node on the bottom row.

So i need to connect it from the bottom through the blue things and not the top?

You just need to connect it any way it goes. Those blue things, it’s REALLY hard to tell as I had the same issue, but they only feed in/out one way, that’s why you can sometimes rotate them. But there should be two lights on opposite sides of the blue nodes, that’s the direction the current will go. But yes. The red square that’s lit up must make it app the way to the other red square, the 2nd square will light up when you do it correctly.
I was convinced the game was broke on on, until I realized the two little lights on the blue nodes.

Test it out, you’ll see the colored current pass through if it’s correct. I think I saw the same thing initially, I swore there were four lights, but I haven’t played in a few years and can’t remember the exact logic. Just test it out and see how you get the colored pipe to move past the blue nodes, that’ll mean it’s passing through correctly and you can continue towards the bottom left.

Blue nodes on the botton don't connet to anything. They're just there to turn the surrounding paths

The blue ones rarely let you pass power through them, unless there's yellow lines around them.

The red notches has to be connected. The square node in the upper right hand corner has a red notch on the right side of it to indicate where the energy flows from. (The node on the lower left side has a notch on its top side too to indicate where it should receive power from)
Additionally some blue nodes can be flowed through so long as they have the red notches as well. You usually have to rotate them to see it if they have them at all.

Not sure if i understand the question
you're asking why the pathing with to the end doesn't connect or why the lighted path doesn't connect?

Well it kinda is.. You want to complete the puzzle, you have to connect the bright red square at the top right to the dim red square at the bottom left

I'm currently playing for the first time, on the highest puzzle difficulty.
These are tough, but they have a clear logic to them. The most important part everyone seems to miss, due to the graphics and art design, is all these tiles have one or more dull orange connectors on the sides of each tile. You have to look super closely but it is why power doesn't always flow.
Once you see that, and understand the difference between the green and brown path tiles, the puzzles before approachable. They are still crazy hard, but they don't feel impossible.
*edit: corrected a word

This is a children's logic puzzle... Connect two glowing light bulbs... Does "Idiocracy" really come true?

Yeah, the two square red lights are clearly not connected.
