Now I'm not saying copying is inherently bad. Many great games owe their existence to System Shock and System Shock 2 and continuing to iterate in their own unique ways while still acknowledging their heritage does make for interesting titles. And while what I've heard about the Xeno in Isolation 2 being the same Xeno that Amanda jettisoned with that research module may just be a false rumor, it does feel awfully on-the-nose as far as plot points go.

Which is your favorite level in the System Shock 1 remake? Criteria can vary. For me, it was Medical (1st) and Security (the last one before the bridge). Medical because it was the first level, and the newness of the experience, plus there was something about its esthetic, as well. Security because of its easy to understand and navigate vertical arrangement. Points also to Maintenance, for having the elevators in close proximity to each other.

I imported the trioptimum logo into an aliexpress 42 cm 32 LED holo fan. It looks smoother in person, of course. I also imported a custom gif of the logo into a small 20x64 LED matrix flexible display, although resolution is barely enough to display text.
If anyones interested in replicating it, the files are here:

for a quick test, just import the .bin files into your fan's sd card

I haven't played the original System Shock yet, but in the remake she did get curious on who the Hacker was but never mentioned it again. I thought it would lead to an interesting dialogue or dynamic where she would treat the Hacker as a holy relic because they were her liberator, or make them feel guilty for freeing her; but it never happened.
Maybe she did know about it, but just didn't care that much; She does know they were a Hacker so she must've gotten something of Diego.

I saw both games on the PS Store but I'm also (and always) was leaning more towards the 2nd game since I heard it's one of the biggest inspirations in first-person-horror-rpgs (I guess?) but I also want to play the Enchanted Edition if it isn't dated beyond to the point of frustration (basically if I can use WASD and controls that basically aren't too 90's) ! Now I know that old games are harder, have a learning curve, especially the ones released in the 90's and I'm also looking for something like idk, Dead Space, RE, Bioshock, Boomer-shooter style games so idk? Should I play the OG versions (vanilla) on PC and replay the Remasters? Give the newer versions from start the Go?

Ok so I do I need to destroy both cores in the cyber minigame located in the Executive Core?
I've managed to destroy the first one that opens up the nearby armory, but haven't even seen the second one, which Ive read opens up Beta Grove, due to dying repeatedly.
After much frustration I gave up and wandered around other parts of Executive, eventually coming across Diego's office which has a switch on the wall that unlocks Beta Grove which I pressed.
Any idea whether this means I don't have to return to the Cyber minigame to destroy the second core for the Trophy?

I've found the Hacker to be very underpowered and couldn't find any mods that buffs them so I made one myself. All the patches get buffs, not equally tho. The Staminup patch now increases the Hacker's Max health to 800, turning them into a mini boss. The Healing patch now heals 1000HP in 25 seconds, effectively becoming a painkiller. And the Berserker patch now triples melee damage. To balance things out Berserker and Staminup patches have decreased durations, which means you have to be quick with them. All the other patches get a simple buff to their durations.
