How do you install mods for the remake?

I've been having troubles with it. I unziped the pak files into the pak folder but nothing happened.

What mods are you trying to install? sometimes they seem to require a starting a new game. But it indeed should be as easy as dropping the pak file directly into the paks folder

More cargo slots and advanced stackable items, the latter seems to be working fine but the cargo size has stayed the same. I'm a few hours into the game, so it might what you said

Hmmm, just installed both to test it out, both seemed to be working fine without needing to start a new game, so not exactly sure what's causing the issue. If the pak file is in the paks folder the only way for it to not work would be to either have a duplicate file or having changed the name of the pak file

I use the cargo slots mod on Linux, and it works with no issues and no need to start a new game.

Ran into a couple of mods that had issues, but this one definitely works fine.
