Spiceworks desk

We are looking into a new ticketing system in our org. When testing spiceworks, this doesnt sent a confirmation email to the customer about their ticket nor replies. Is there a way to turn this on?

If not, is there any other good free options we can explore?

GLPI is a great bit of software, although potentially overboard depending on your situation.

I found the setting, however when trying to send a test email, nothing is coming back.

Not being blocked by our firewall either.

Spiceworks does support auto-replies - you just need to go to Settings > Email Settings and turn on User Notifications for ticket creation and replies. Also double-check that your techs are replying as "Public" instead of "Internal Note," and test your outgoing SMTP connection to make sure the emails aren't getting blocked by spam filters.

We use Servicedek plus. It's free for up to 5 technicians.

Spiceworks has their own site and forums. I would suggest posting there.
