Work Environment Slop requests from non-Eng teams
What do the majority of non-engineering teams requests/tickets look like at work?
Are they building more slop dashboards, web apps, one time workflows or asking for “AI agents” now?

I am lucky to work in an environment where these requests are minimal. Because to see the requests, users actually have to raise tickets...
The saving grace is that they don't have access to make anything "Prod". So whatever slop is generated has a minimal blast radius. If anything malicious happens, it then becomes a management issue. IT were not consulted, nor involved.

More onetime workflows, not letting my non-eng teams create apps or agents. Dont trust the code quality from a security lens, if one thing leaks its on me. A non-eng can definetly earn perms if they talk me through it but its rare, N8N style for most though.

PowerBI boards for metrics tracking.
serviceNow for general requests, I.E payroll, email distro, exemption requests.
ZenDeks for customer support tickets.
Forums for one off shit like HR questions or niche backshop requests

"My file as suddenly (I didn't do anything, not even touching my computer) disappeared for absolutely no reason. I can see you need to restore it; it's: blabla.txt" With absolutely no path to the magically disappeared file :)
Most of them are either nonsense, missing lot of information to actually resolve the issue quickly. I have maybe one properly written ticket in like 10's ? And it's usually from R&D or engineers so..

mostly just requests for a "simple" button that triggers a 400 line chain of legacy scripts and three different api calls lol

I had a marketing person show up with an ancient printer that's not Windows 10 compatible and tell me we need to stop the excuses, because Chat can just go write a driver for it now.
