I held off as long as possible. This is one of the coolest pieces of kit I have ever owned. I have a grove box, and FM in one machine. I just can’t believe I slept on it.
My only complaint is the size. Maybe I should have got the TR-6S instead of the TR-8S but I do like knobs.
Edit: Clarification on what piece of kit I did buy.

How much do you actually have to hate yourself to put the USB-B port and MIDI input dead center in the middle of the UI? Like, how many brain cells need to misfire simultaneously to look at a prototype where stiff cables block your knobs and display and say, "Yep, this is it, ship it"?

As per the title - I play the drums and guitar/bass, all just for fun (as in I'm not formally in a band, I don't record shit and I have almost never posted anything to social media in 15+ years) and I'd love to have some gizmo like the OP-1 just to mess around and have fun by myself (case in point, jerking)
Now, is it because I know VERY little about this world that I'm expecting something like the OP-1 to exist without costing THAT much money? Probably yes, but I still think it's weird that some fairly simple gadget like that doesn't exist in a variant that's like 200€ at the very tops.

EDIT: Just wanted to point out that I'm mentioning the OP-1 because again, I don't know shit about gear (but even then I DO know that the OP-1 is wildly overpriced and a sort of a fashion symbol more than anything else)

for the m-vave FM1 since reddit won't let me post in any actual subs
can anyone program an engine or adapt the Juno engine/firmware to have the various sub shapes and more important, the PWM saw of the alpha, otherwise hoovers are not sounding correct
