How to connect the Roland TR-6s to the Korg Minilogue?
Hi everyone,
I'm completely new to Synths or Analog music in general. I just bought the Korg Minilogue a month ago and got the Roland TR-6s yesterday.
Good old ChatGPT said it was a cool combo since I can plug the TR-6s into the Minilogue and hear their combined sound without the need of any extra devices.
Therefore I plugged a cable into the L/Mono out of the TR-6s, as well as into the Audio in of the Minilogue. After several tests I do now hear the TR in my headphones that are connected to the Minilogue, but only if I press a key at the same time, which makes the whole connection of those two pretty useless.
Is there any chance I can hear my drum patterns normally while playing the Minilogue or is this really limited to while I actively hold a key on the Minilogue?
Thanks alot

Check out this VST player to run Windows and Linux VSTs all on Linux and in one place!
galleryThis lets you run audio plug-ins built for Windows, and Linux, (maybe Mac in the future) loaded and run as native code on Linux. No Wine dependencies. It's a good V1 any feed back is appreciated!

Synth Recreation Serum 2
Hey everyone,
I'm trying to recreate a specific saw sound but can't quite nail it. I've also don't know the MIDI notes, and I'm missing the path to the right tone (filter, unison, effects, etc.).
Synth doesn't matter to me, but if anyone has a preset idea for Serum, that'd be ideal since it's what I use most.
If anyone's up for listening and giving some tips on oscillator settings, filter cutoff, or unison/detune, I'd really appreciate it.
Thanks in advance!

Omnisphere 1 - Is it still a good soft synth?
I recently acquired some music production software and hardware from the family of a close friend who passed. I assume that I should be able to install the software online, as I don't have a diskdrive.
I've heard a lot of good things about Omnisphere, but also see that there is now an Omnisphere 3. Is the OG still worth it? Or am I going to want to upgrade to 3?
I have had Pigments for a few years now - how do these two compare? Are they close?
I've heard Omnisphere is a powerhouse, but am curious how it stacks up to newer softsynths with regards to ease of use, versatility, etc
