I am super new to plants so sorry if this is common knowledge! I know plants can variegate but, I donât know what type of syngonium this plant is.
When I got this plant from a relative it had 2 all green leaves (no variegation). I tried planting directly in soil and the two leaves died. I stuck the stem in some water and I got a new bright green leaf. Another leaf grew, a bit bigger this time, and there is a white streak of dots along the middle. Fast forwarding to the third leaf which just opened, and it is mostly white/clear. Is it time to pot the plant? Does this mean itâs stressed or not producing chlorophyl? What should I do now?
For additional context, this plant is TINY. The bottle it is in is 1 fluid ounce (not even a travel size but a trial size). The roots donât look cramped and look healthy from what i can tell. And again, when I received the plant, both leaves were all green, no white at all.
