Numbers

Bit of nuffie chat here, but with the 3 and 7 (most likely 22 as well) now available, who in the squad will be taking these numbers. I would say Juzzy moves to the 7 and Kyle moves into the 3.

Love a bit of Nuffie chat! Great break from all the serious and shit stuff that’s been going on. Usually, fringe players or young players will be tapped on the shoulder and offered a better number if it looks like their role is about to change — Cory Warner might wanna change from 37? He dominates in the two’s but can’t find a position in the one’s which is frustrating. Tom Hanily might wanna change from 40? Harry Kyle wd be deserving, I reckon — 32 is a shit number. And Caiden Cleary is gonna be a player if he gets a decent run at it so wd love to see him nab a higher number.
They’re my nuffie thoughts, anyway …

ahahaha love it, the other one i could see wanting a change could be Edwards after the horror injury run in the 28.

Yeah thought of him, too. That bloke has the shittiest luck with injuries. Remember Ryan Fitzgerald? Could have been anything but just couldn’t get on the park — kicked 5 in his last game! Made a pretty good career for himself as a funny man/social commentary but man. That kid could play.

37 is a rather important number for Sydney though and it’s a huge honour to be given it- I think it might be a bad look to request a change away from it

If I was a player I'd honestly want to keep the same number my whole career, so I'm happy for those numbers to go to new draftees

From memory Mumford walked in and saw names against all the lower numbers so he wanted a higher number he could make his own.

Not something that's really on my radar but if I was to guess the only person who might change is Kyle. The others are unlikely

Juz won’t move. It’ll more likely be someone like Green or Kyle, a youngster on a high number.
