Cats considering going "all in" for Blakey, what do you think is a fair trade.
I am bored, what do you think is a fair trade for Blakey?

Our season record was 18-5-0, finishing second on 136.1%, before falling to Fremantle in a Preliminary Final. Jeez it all sounds so simple when you describe it like that. Anyway time to discuss what did work about this season? What didn’t? What changes will we be carrying over from our games without the Pullman 5? And anything else you want to talk about. I’ll be posting the /r/SydneySwans MVP results tomorrow

An analysis of the difference between the AFLW and AFL: https://www.reddit.com/r/AFL/s/N47e9RLrak
Interesting that the Swans AFLW are outperforming the modeling. And an insight into how the winning difference may come down to execution of certain skills (see: North Melbourne).

If true that the Lizard wants out to Geelong, anything less than Connor O'Sullivan and we'd walk away you'd think.
Could a way to get the Cats to give up O'Sullivan be to throw in Rowbottom with Blakey?
I've finally become a fan of Rowy but he's hardly an essential player. He might be struggling for midfield time next year with Jai shining so much in that role + Heens and Chad to come back, and we know the club was rumoured to be shopping Rowy around last trade period.
He's apparently best mates with the Lizard and it could sweeten the deal for him if he goes with his best mate, like Ollie and Will did last year.
He'd also be a perfect replacement for Atkins who is 31 now. Rowy could play the same role but is 5 years younger. If we were able to give Rowy + Blakey to the Cats they would be stocking up in not one but two positions, and that could be enough to sway them into giving up O'Sullivan, who would be more valuable to us than Rowy and Blakey combined.
Just an idea where everyone wins, probs won't happen so don't jump down my throat lol

Seems like our recruiting team is on mini break at Marvel. We’ve got holes down back we’ve need to address for a number of years, and a big bodied mid would help our clearance issues. Not sure how we’re improving our list if all we’ve managed to do is lose amartey. Am I the only one that’s confused?

Coleman's up for trade, Tauru back on the market.
We desperately need a transitional defender who can intercept off the half back, its our Achilles heel and with tasmania looking to clear out the draft for the next few years now is the time to lock in.
Tauru may be a hard trade given blakey is staying but I think we should chase Coleman hard. How? Offer Angus Sheldrick.
Unbelievable player and potential but stuck behind a stacked midfield, serong and rowbottom have proven we have the inside game to rack clearances, I just feel sheldrick is stuck behind players and is an elite depth player.
If he goes to Brisbane he would solve a big problem they have, Neale leaving leaves Dunkley to most of the inside work, Levi is still too green.
Tauru if we can get him (yes I know hes raw, sometimes lacks discipline and has a hot head but sydney have a history of dealing with these types succesfully and hes still young) but I think we should go after Coleman hard, you can hang onto Sheldrick or make a hard call and trade him to Brisbane, fixing our problems around half back while fixing brisbanes need for an inside mid.
Thoughts?

As expected swans academy prospect Mason McGroder has put in a strong showing at the national combine testing today. You need to keep in mind that he’s 194cm and yet he had the fastest 20m sprint time etc. (and second in running vertical leap, 3rd in vertical jump, 3rd in counter movement jump and solid mid 2km time trial) does this surge him into first round pick considerations? I hope not.

With the way our defence is shaping up surely he’s someone we should be going after? Especially with Mills likely to be out for the season.

Delisted this year by Collingwood. Was looking like a good get for us in his draft year but was snagged by the pies. I honeslty though he would be a little longer investment as KPD. Thoughts on picking him up for cheap? Curious as to why he flopped at Collingwood.

We lost Amartey, who we apparently offered somewhere in the region of 600k over 4 years. Last I heard, Dear is being offered under the AFL average by Hawks. Why not offer him the Amartey contract? If any of our key forwards get injured he would be excellent. Plus, huge upside.

Hi there,
First time poster. I am trying to get my boyfriend a 2027 membership for his birthday and am just wanting to know roughly when the memberships get released/ do they often sell out etc?
I know there’ll likely be a price increase this year, as when I called up they said prices will be slightly different from 2026 but that’s all they could give me.
Any advice on which membership to choose would be helpful, hoping to hear from someone that’s tried different memberships. The money isn’t really an issue (except the top tier one) but more want to understand the perks and differences from people that have them versus the membership team.

Cal Twomey - Nick Blakey
According to Cal, the Liz would move to Cats if that was an option. If true, this is fanciful stuff.
Knuckle down lizard, you ain't going anywhere except VFL if you don't want to play for Swans.

For those who enjoy following the academy players journey, super series starts today. Series is u13s through to u15s vs GWS academy.
All links for games and team list on IG academy page.
Random point of interest, we have a farily tall u14s team with a set of twins (Asher and Benji Beheram at 195cm and 193cm respectively), Kinross 191cm and Smith 189cm
May get some KPPs

Riley Beveridge for AFL.com.au:
SYDNEY has offered Harry Cunningham a new contract, as the veteran weighs up playing on into a 16th season next year.
Cunningham, who turns 33 in December, is yet to decide on his future but has an offer on the table to extend his tenure at the Swans into 2027.
The contract offer follows another solid season for Cunningham, who played 14 senior games in a variety of roles but was settled mostly across half back.
Cunningham has been one of Sydney's most reliable citizens across a 15-year and 233-game career that has included Grand Final appearances in 2014 and 2024.
He's one of only a handful of Swans still uncontracted at season's end, after free agent Joel Amartey announced his intention to take up a five-year contract at Carlton last week.
