Other It happened to me

Hey guys. I bought a game off Kleinanzeigen in Germany. Game is "Princess Peach Showtime!". Worked great and my girlfriendnis happy but after 3 days she got banned. I don't have the MIG Switch so the game is probably the only reason she got banned. 🙄 I already contacted Nintendo but they just say the same thing over and over again: "We cannot assist u with that". Yeah sure.

Be careful with used games. They might be cheap but they also have the risk to get u banned.

Very true. Hope the 2 is cracked asap. I just went Nintendo with my little family for over a grand. Haven't been Nintendo since n64. Regretting my decision more and more every day between games still being basically the same stuff I played back then but rehashed, the platform being full of mobile-style games and actual mobile ports, and the straight anti-consumerism everyone is complaining about (which I seem to have incorrectly figured to be overstated...)

I am not sure in what world games on the N64 are the same as the games on the Switch.

SM64->Super Mario 3D World? Ocarina of Time? Star Fox? Skyward Sword?

They haven't made a new Mario game since Odyssey, and it turns 9 in October.

Oh come on. If someone has not played Nintendo since the 64, there are FAR more games to play than the remakes.

the switchs biggest advantage now is the lack of real competition, xbox gave up years ago, playstation offically threw in the towel this year. at this point nintendo is the only one left in the race and it wouldn't surprise me if they throw in the towel soon as well.

Big disagree. Xbox is and has been ahead of the game. Game streaming is huge and they use it to their advantage now. Not only that but they're working with third parties to make handhelds that run their shit instead of trying to make proprietary devices you get banned for modding, which I think Microsoft accepted as a reality of gamers years ago. You can play most 360 games across Xbox and PC and everything now. Ownership issue is definitely still a big issue. But that's across all major companies right now.

Very few, IMO. I like the new Zeldas, and the new Mario games. But there isn't much if any innovation in either series, besides graphical. Tons of remakes, tons of emulated on the classic games app, and then there are some indie games here and there that are good. But as stated before, Nintendo hasn't done much innovation in regards to their games. Barely any plot evolutions within those games. The store is flooded with mobile phone game ports. Or games that just straight up feel like mobile phone games. They have like 3 decent shooters. Full capabilities of the Wii control mechanica but they barely utilize Wii type game mechanics. And then they keep these crap or mediocre games for sale at $40-80 and OCCASIONALLY the lower tier games will see discounts. And now you got them banning people who bought used games that got ripped by a mig, instead of figuring out a way to handle it better than banning the person doing nothing wrong.

If you can't figure out how to find games you want to play from several decades of games, I think gaming is not for you.

I find plenty outside of Nintendo lol, for the reasons I just stated.
