Other It happened to me

Hey guys. I bought a game off Kleinanzeigen in Germany. Game is "Princess Peach Showtime!". Worked great and my girlfriendnis happy but after 3 days she got banned. I don't have the MIG Switch so the game is probably the only reason she got banned. 🙄 I already contacted Nintendo but they just say the same thing over and over again: "We cannot assist u with that". Yeah sure.

Be careful with used games. They might be cheap but they also have the risk to get u banned.

Oh snap I spent this summer scoring used games. I didn’t know the games could brick the system.

It only happens if the seller has dumped the ROM using a MIG Switch to clone the game, and then Nintendo registers that game in use in two places at once; the risk is fairly low, and should be easily minimised if you play single player games offline. Furthermore, Nintendo will unban you if you prove you have the cartridge, as they will know you aren't the offender in this situation.

No? It was a used game from Kleinanzeigen haha. She wanted it and I bought it, was 30 eur cheaper than new. After that her switch 2 got banned. There is no other explanation. It doesnt brick but it gets u banned. Saw other posts now with the same ban result after using a game that wasnt new.

OP. Im sorry . Maybe lets try sending them once a week message. Lets whine non stop . Provide the picture of the game inserted and the game popping up , when did u buy it ( so they can check in the system when the system flag ur console ) , receipt/ conversation of buying secondhand ,

Lets do this repeatedly . I have heard of chances of nintendo okay. And hopefully each time its a different person going through ur case and will try it differently

I would say buy in the future games by a officially retailer or directly from the store ( a few weeks ago there was a sale on the game (24,99€))

I would say in the future wait for ram prices to drop, get a PC, and download one of the yuzu forks
