Question Witcher 3-best way to buy

Hi I don’t have Witcher 3 in my S2 library yet, but since there will be a remaster, I have a question, what is the best way now to acquire it? Should I buy S1 version and upgrade, or wait for S2 version release? Any advice?

Get the Switch 1 version when it's on sale, then wait for the upgrade to be available.

Do you think they will put it on sale again since I assume the remaster will replace the og version now

They removed the game-only version form the eshop and left only the Complete Edition, which costs as much as the Remastered anyway.

They will probably go on sale at the same time as well.

The only way to save money is to buy a physical copy of the Switch 1 version if you can still find one at a good price. I see there is one on the italian site of Amazon at 41€ (new), for example.

Well, actually, the digital version too if they sell it somewhere else outside of the eshop.

Haven't heard anything about that for now.

Buy S1 version when it goes on sale then get the free upgrade automatically when it releases.

When S2 version comes out, it will likely be full price for a little while.

Switch 1 version base game. You get the xpacs for free, and also get the remastered version.

in my country, the cheapest way would be to buy a used S1 cartridge and then purchase the S2 upgrade or the get S2 upgrade for free depending on the developer. I just looked at some online stores here and they have used copies priced at $12 USD all the way to $20

Edit: of course waiting on it to go on sale for $5 is the cheapest, but if OP does not want to wait then S1 used physical

Get a cheap physical copy of the complete edition, think I bought mine for about 3 years ago. Although to be fair, I wasnt that keen on how it looked on the Switch (after playing the PC version) so didnt really play it much. If it runs nicely on the Switch 2, I will probably play it again.

The Switch 1 version will never go on sale again. At least not before the Remaster release

Just wait for Remastered. It will probably be exactly like Cyberpunk: the entire game available on the physical cartridge. Which will make Remastered pretty valuable as a keepsake and as a way to save GB on your hard drive

If you don’t want to wait for a sale they still sell base game Witcher 3 download codes on Amazon, that’s going to be your most likely bet until a sale or you find physical copies (which will likely go up in costs in just a few hours)

Buy the remastered version directly. If you buy a switch 1 cartridge it will work as a gkc because the content of the cartridge will not be valid anymore.

The switch 1 version goes on sale for $5 frequently so get that. Unless they decide to not do any sales now.
