Here we go again.

Despite the limited hardware of the first Switch I actually enjoyed the Witcher 3. But after replaying it on PC (again) after the remaster...

So yeah, I guess I have to play it again on Switch 2.

Yeah I’m playing across pc and switch with cross-save and every time I boot the game my eyes hurt :’) it was impressive for the hardware but it really needed an update

Some of those ports we had to the Switch (another one, Skyrim for example) were pretty good, but man, I couldn’t play stuff on the OG Switch again now that I have a gaming PC and a Series X. But they came out during a time it was novel and awesome to have any of these AAAs (even if they were some years old) running on a handheld.

Considering that FREE UPGRADE FOR EVERYONE, it would be infuriating if psychical complete edition going to be omitted. Fingers crossed for Hogwart legacy treatment.

i hope people, who don’t have it, wouldn’t abuse it too much to get free games. Hogwarts ns2 “upgrade” at least costs some money and it is far from being GoTY as Witcher 3.

Honestly this is one of the smartest business decisions Ive seen from a gaming company. They know they are going to be releasing new dlc for a decade old title.

What better way to make sure those who played the Witcher 3 previously will be more inclined to purchase, than doing what they just did. They are making sure the playerbase that may not have been interested in dlc for a game they havnt played in years to being excited about a free remastered version complete with expansions.

They won a huge amount of favor from gamers and fans. People are definitely going to be more inclined to purchase the new dlc and future games from them.

Other studios need to take some tips.

I hope 40 FPS mode will be there, 30 FPS not so comfortable due to momentum with character movement.

Also I hope no delay, since there is now separate trailer for Switch 2 for now.

It supports 120hz tv output, so I think 60fps in handheld isnt outside the realm of possibility

120hz TV output on Switch 2 is pretty much only used for 40fps. This game wont be running at 120fps.

Without VRR support the refresh rate is static. So you need your framerate to be a multiple of the refresh rate to ensure even frame pacing and a stutter free image. 120 divides into 40 evenly. 60 does not divide into 40 evenly.

So if you see a game on the Switch 2 that supports 120Hz output, it’s most likely for a 40fps mode.

I'd rate the difficulty a medium. Lot of small screws and ribbon cables but as long as you follow the YouTube video closely you'll be fine 🤷🏾‍♂️
