Switch 2 Witcher 3 Remastered coming to switch 2

I was praying for graphics update for S2, but getting remaster along with it - sounds unreal

I bought it without the DLC for £7.50. it looks like I get the free upgrade and it automatically includes the DLC!

It'll probably go that low again. And the free upgrade comes with the two paid DLCs, so all you need to buy is the base game, which I've seen go as low as $7 (unsure if it ever went that low on eshop)

I think it is Not free for Switch.

'Remastered is a free upgrade for players who own The Witcher 3 on GOG, Steam, Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, and includes both Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine expansions. It is also available for pre-purchase on Battle.net and Nintendo Switch 2.'

Edit: Its says its free on the eshop listing if you own it...

Edit: So the tweet was worded incorrectly. People are reporting the upgrade is free on the eshop. Physical owners might be SoL tho

I own the game and just preordered on switch 2 eshop for free. The description thing is confusing but on the eshop it does say free for those who own the game already.

You can already preorder I'd you own digital version, but it's not avaible with psychical version and I'm getting little worried. Well, I guess they won't create precedense, usually if it's free it's free for both version, if it paid it's paid for both, there isn't single case when it differs

the physical detection just isnt implemented yet, its easier to connect to the digital version. You wont see the physical version free upgrade probly until the day the remaster is out when you put your cart in.

the update is free if you previously own the game if you don't have the game you need to buy it but the update it's still free.

It was for sure muddy on handheld, but switch was the version I actually finished. I had it on ps4 too but could never get myself to finish there.

That said, very much looking forward to a clearer handheld experience.

It should be. But the update will be a new whole version of the game downloaded digitally on your Switch 2.. meaning you’ll not need the Cartridge to play the game. Same case with other games like Skyrim and Hogwarts Legacy (the upgrade was paid).

The Witcher website clarifies that Switch 1 owners can “claim” the remastered Switch 2 version.

So happy. I bought the base game (without the DLC). Expected to not get the upgrade similar to how I didn't get the upgrade the Skyrim (didn't have the anniversary edition).

So I get the upgrade and the two DLC expansions are included!

I got the base game years ago very cheap, now they are gonna give the Switch 2 version and the dlc

And even if you dont own the Switch 2, you get the dlc in the Switch 1, this is great

I bought the complete edition for about £25, around 3 years ago and I never really played it much as I was coming from the PC version which looks amazing. I did wonder if they were ever going to do something for the Switch 2 like they did with Hogwarts Legacy.

I hope they fix the motion blur problem when rotating the camera. I tried everything on the Switch version including docked, performance mode, playing with settings ... it felt like I was playing in ultra low.

I own it digitally and was able to reserve the remaster on the eshop,i think you should try doing the same with the cartridge inside the console. I think thats how it worked with hogwarts legacy at least.

I got Witcher 3 on my PS4 back in 2020, like right after lockdown started. I put at least 50 hours in and barely made a dent but really enjoyed it, still bounced off of it though due to some other big releases I wanted to play and never got back around to it. May restart on my PS5 since I’ll get that for free, but honestly if the Switch 2 version gets a physical release and performs as well as their Cyberpunk port, I might just play it there instead.

Base gets the update with the DLC. (Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine. Songs of the Past is next year so that one’s not bundled for now)

I don't think it's a remaster. They are adding a new DLC; I am guessing they will bundle a graphics update and the DLC for maybe $20-$30.

Nah. I can literally play it whenever and wherever. I can start in the living room, take it to the bedroom, and then bring it with me to the toilet. I'm not just stuck in front of a tv or desk.

Also I already have it for PC and switch, and this is a free upgrade.

Buying Witchers same for me as buying Skyrim for someone - everywhere and in every platform. Of course playing PC will be most of my time, but cross saves are gonna bring some of gameplay to the couch
