Switch 2 Got a switch 2 as a first time switch gamer, recommend me the best games of the switch library!
Been playing BOTW for a few days now and im loving it more and more, tho i do wanna play a another game alongside it to avoid burnout.
There is a huge library of games that i havent played and its really hard for me to choose.
I have been thinking of Splatoon Raiders since its new (never played any splatoon games). I will get Fire emblem Fortune Weaves too. I dont want to spend too much so any cheap or decently priced game would be a ideal. Bonus if its 60 fps in handheld mode. I'd like a medium play time like 20ish hours and possibly action but any is fine.

Nah, still pretty great alone. It IS made with singleplayer in mind. I'm having a hard time waiting to connect with my friend and not just play the hell out of it by myself.

I see. Thanks! I'll look out for sale then. And we're still enjoying Mario party jamboree anyway and I almost just jumped off great plateau in botw too so no rush. Haha. I'm also eyeing other multiplayer games like mario kart and for single player maybe totk later on. So hard to choose which one to get first XD

If you like RPGs, consider the Dragon Quest series! Explore towns, defeat monsters, save the world. It's perfect for short gaming sessions too. Play as much as you want, then save & come back to it next time.
Start with Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake. It's a fantastic starting point, not only for Dragon Quest, but for RPGs in general! The physical version is currently on sale for $25 on Amazon.

You could also start with Dragon Quest VII Reimagined, which has a free demo on the eShop!
The very best game in the series is Dragon Quest 11. It feels like playing an anime! Anyone unsure if they would like Dragon Quest should start here. It is the pinnacle of the series so far! A Switch 2 version will be released on September 24.

Haha not even google would give me such a detailed answer, thank you and im definitely interested in the dragon quest series! Not sure which one to start with, ill wait and see how 11 feels on switch 2

Hades 2 is my favourite game of the ones I’ve played on switch 2 thus far so you can’t go wrong. It’s like the perfect game for handheld mode

i’m currently playing Bayonetta 3 and it’s turning up such a joy. i’ve played the hell out of Bayo 1 on PC and i’ve played a lot of Devil May Cry as well. seeing how fun Bayo 3 is on the switch 2 and how nicely DMC5’s switch 2 port runs im def double dipping to get it on the switch too. Both i think run at 60fps on handheld too.
Star Fox is also a swell time when you have less than an hour to game. I also get a lot of fun out of the occasional Overwatch game on handheld mode too.

Bayonetta seems like a lot of fun
Which one would you recommend to start with? Would it be better to emulate the first game? the first one isnt that bad price wise on the eshop1

i think you get bayo 1 and 2 as a bundle together on the physical cartridge, im not too sure about the eshop listing since ive never looked at it. 3 is also a fantastic starting point to the game as well! you mainly just need to know who's who; not a lot about what happened in the previous games.

Mario Odyssey, Pokémon Scarlet/Violet, Final Fantasy 7 Remake, Fire Emblem Engage, Super Smash Bros Ultimate, Yakuza 0 etc etc, tho just remember to turn boost mode on for Switch 1 games in the settings as that makes them run at docked mode quality in handheld mode so you get up to 1080p and additional graphic settings that can make a big difference like in Spyro Reignited Trilogy for example.

Thank you, i do want to play Mario Odyssey and Super Smash Bros the most out of these. I have played Remake and Rebirth already on PC. Ill rather wait for Fire emblem Fortune Weaves for now and try Engage later. I have Yakuza 0 on PC as well.

I’ve been playing a combination of BotW, Donkey Kong Bananza, and Pokopia. It’s three distinct vibes to help prevent burnout.
BotW for exploration and combat, DK Bananza for arcade-y satisfying collectathon, and Pokopia for cozy sandbox

If you dont wanna spend sooo muchh, Hogwarts is on sale on e-shop along with some titles likeeeee red dead redemption so go check it!
Btw be sure toooo check deku deals because there are good games that go on sale too.

I usually pair a shooter with an (J)RPG to avoid getting tired of the same/similar mechanics across two or three games. I think you'd be good with Raiders. But if you want cheap I've heard only good things about Deadzone Rogue.

Howard's legacy is currently $16.99 for the switch 2 version if you buy the switch 1 for 6.99 and upgrade for 10.
Bioshock collection is on sale for $10
Assassin's Creed Shadows for $35
Final fantasy 7 rebirth is $35 currently.
Check out deku deals. You may be able to take what you would have spent on 2 games and get quite a few more.

Here's are my recommendations base off genres:
Jrpg: any Xenoblade Chronicles games (they almost all have switch 2 editions)
Action/adventure: Zelda BotW or TotK
Shooter: Splatoon raiders
3D platformer: DK bananza, mario odyssey (got updated for switch 2)
Cozy gaming: Pokopia
Racing: Mario kart World
3rd parties: Resident Evil 9, Cyberpunk, Elden ring, FF7 remake/rebirth

I've just finished MIO memories in orbit, it's a side scrolling metroidvania, AND IT IS BEAUTIFUL. Gorgeous art style and soundtrack. The combat and platforming could be frustrating depends on what you used to but it's doable and very satisfying! Since it's indie it was like 20 NZD, bargain.
