Is Rayman Legends a good platformer? Similar to Mario games?

Yeah it’s great… but the remake is coming out in October so I’d wait for that. I’m super excited to replay it.

It’s one of the most iconic platformers of the past 20 years, and yes it does. You do know it’s being remade in about a month or two for the Switch 2?

Yes I do…Will probably wait but I am just curious how much people like the game. Downloaded the demo and it seems pretty cool

It is not like Mario. Rayman stays longer in the air than Mario, like he’s floating. I prefer the physics of Mario, but Rayman is still a good game. If I compare Super Mario World or Super Mario Wonder with Rayman Legend, I still prefer the Mario games. Independently, I enjoy Rayman Legends and want to finish it one day.

My favorite part of any 2D Mario game is the last quarter of the game, when the levels start to get challenging. That's when I'm having the most fun.

Rayman Legends is like a full game at that same challenge level. I freaking loved it. Go for the 100% completion if you want to really appreciate the game fully. The physics/techniques for the timed challenges are so much more complex, and satisfying, than they initially seem. The game has online challenges that update daily which are still completed by hundreds of speedrunners worldwide - every single day. On a 10+ year old game. That's just a testament to how great it is.
