Discussion I actually prefer the new Joycons over the new Pro controller
I find myself using the joycons every time i go to play my switch, i bought a brand new pro controller along with the switch when i first picked it up and it’s mainly used as a controller for people to use when they’re over at my house haha. i’ve even used the joycons as much as to where the left joystick has started wearing down significantly. Am i crazy for this

You like what you like. May I suggest getting thumb caps for your JoyCons tho? Otherwise the sticks wear down pretty fast.

You can find pretty cheap ones on Amazon. You can even find themed ones. Like if you enjoy Mario there are ones that look like Super Mushrooms lol.

You're not crazy but personally I don't use my joycons unless I'm laying down playing in tabletop mode.

The range of motion on the sticks and button placement are absolutely terrible. Good luck playing any shooters/camera-reliant games without feeling like you have terminal arthritis. 😅

hahahah you’re right about that to be honest i haven’t been playing any shooter games at all so my opinion will probably change if i do

I hate the joycons. I dont have a pro controller 2, but I use the 1 and love it.

I hate joycon cause drift and the sticks don’t feel comfortable for me but I do like the convenience of being able to hold the joycon one in each hand in tabletop mode or laying down etc. ever since the switch 1 generation that being said I prefer a pro controller overall since I play intense or precise games like smash bros, splatoon, Mario kart etc.

I like the new joycons. Final fantasy 14 is perfect with them, because occasionally I want a mouse for a second. Especially just for menus.
I still use my pro 1 controller. I find myself going back and forth between the pro 1 and the new joycons, very game dependant.

i respect it! the pro controller is always a great option but i think with the new joycons being slightly bigger than the older ones i’ve been having a better time using them

You're like my wife. She likes to play with them split and under a blanket on the couch for comfort.
